Today was a gorgeous day for fishing. The temperature was approximately 85 degrees and it was very sunny out with a slight breeze. I launched my boat from the boat load located on the western side of the Middle"woops" Turnpike. I quickly set out towards the west most cove. Along the way I decided to fish the lily pads and weeds along the southern shore of the lake. I decided to stick with my typical setup which is simply plastic worms on a shank worm hook. About half way there at about 10:00am I pulled this small mouth bass.

I continued down the shore until I reach the west most cove which is loaded with weeds and lily pads. My fish finder was going crazy in this area of the lake. I spent about an hour here with no luck, but I continued to be patient. Before I knew it I got a top hit on a rubber worm and was able to reel another small mouth bass. Shortly thereafter I caught another small mouth bass in the northwest corner of the lake.

I continued to fish the shore around the entire lake, but it was pretty slow going. I got plenty of nibbles and I definitely missed setting the hook one a couple more bass. I even lost one about five feet off the boat. I decided to take one last shot in front of the boat load where there are some more thick weeds and lily pads. I had a little luck that day and pulled in one last bass!

Overall, it was a great day of fishing. In total I was on the water about four and a half hours, I can't wait to get back out there!
