Caught her with a XX Perfect Pitch/Curado I. The custom isn't for bank fishing. It never would have landed any of the big ones today. Caught all but one fish on magnum speed worms. The other came on a horny toad. Had almost 23lbs with top 5 today!

That is a sweet bag from the bank man. Nice day indeed. I liked to try one of the MB rods but can't go that much for a rod anymore....I am kicking a Zodias idea around....Or just sticking the couple brands I have now.......Since I found this new spot that fishes like everyone else ponds  I might be trying some mag speed or burner worms in there too.  Got to try the horny toads next  ....I was hard to slow down today in my back yard pond after rolling a chatterbait around all morning.

I hear ya about slowing down. Most of the fish caught with the speed worms bit on the fall. They didn't want anything moving early on. Later on in the day things sped up.

Lou, I don't think it will qualify. I couldn't get a pic with the whole fish and scale visible and the scale is a Boga and not digital. The battery was dead, lol. Figures........

I was in the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge. It's a system of freshwater and saltwater canals and marshes along with one freshwater lake. I usually fish the canals on foot. Tons of scenery!

That place is crazy to fish! Almost stepped on a Cotton Mouth last year. They have been messing with the water levels a lot this year. There have been some monsters taken out of there in the past and that's my goal for the year....... Double Digits! I have yet to catch a 10lb+ bass. Go big or go home is my moto for this year.

Thanks and I agree with you. It is an awesome place and I'm very lucky! Unfortunately there are a few people that couldn't give less of a shit about that place. Leaving trash on the banks and sinking their 32oz beer bottles........ Pretty sad! The Feds can close it to fishing at any time. Some people......
