I was at BPS last week and saw the new 195 TXW with a 150 Mercury 4 stroke on it.  I didn't catch all the numbers on it but it appeared to have a wider deck.  Still only had a 12V trolling motor.

They're asking $25k for it. I looked over the boat pretty well and was pleased with the new rig. The TM is recessed, which is a bonus and it has been upgraded to a 55# TM, but still 12V as mentioned. Why in the world would they do this?? When I was on the deck I thought I was on a fiberglass boat front deck. It is respectable in size and room for sure. The left/right storage compartment lids on the front deck could be larger though, but will certainly work though. The center rod locker will accommodate 8' rods which is nice, and has gas struts on the lid. Not sure why the other lids do not have the nice gas struts on them? The live well is now 27 gal and lit, it is really an upgrade! There are some other nice improvements as well but I can't remember them all at the moment. Overall it's a nice rig!

We purchased/ordered a 195 TXW  June 25th from a local dealer we asked questions and talked to the local dealer on 2 separate visits, everything seemed to be great... 2 Days ago we went to Pro Bass Shop (Katy) and learned that Tracker give PBS special options that small local dealers don't get right away. You see on there site the boat only comes in black but that's not true PBS get it in Gray then I found out that PBS will pull a boat out of another PBS and deliver it to me (100 miles away) in less then a week... Ok lesson learned, if you want a tracker go to a PBS to buy it....

Went and looked at one today at our local Bass Pro and it is impressive. Compared it side by side with the new 175 TXW and with that 150 on the back I would say the 195 is the way to go. $10,000 more for a bigger boat and a 150 as opposed to a 60 seems pretty good if it fits your budget.

Well we have had our 195 TXW 2 weeks now used it once in very choppy water for about an hour, pulled it out of the garage today to take son and his wife fishing. Got to the ramp started to prep and found no batter power at all, did all the routine stuff looking at fuses, lose connections nothing... Pulled it home to find 1 battery leaking acid out of the top and the other battery has .02 volt.. Tried to charge the .02 battery however it would not take a charge so Tuesday the dealership will get the boat back for repairs.. FYI Interstate batteries

I've looked at the 195 more than once now, it's a nice rig for sure. The only thing that needs immediate upgrading is the 12v TM for sure. What kind of speeds are you seeing out of yours?

aaronr1971

I recently bought this boat. I immediatly upgraded to a minn kota maxxum 70. It works finebut I would still recommend the 80. My only real problem with this boat is the rod lockers and compartments leak really bad. Other then that I love it

Looked at one over the weekend... nice boat but $25k for a boat with a 12v system seems not well thought out.  For a few grand more you could be in a decent 18 ft fiberglass rig with a lot more options...... just my 2 cents...

I bought a 195txw last week, love the boat and the ride of the boat. Had a few minor problems from the factory (wood and metal shavings left everywhere, and Bilge pump wasnt hooked up) Besides that its a great boat. First thing i did was take the factory trolling motor off and added a 80lb terrova ipilot and added a 9" helix DI/sonar units. And a 9" Helix sonar/gps for the front since the built in ducer on the terrova wont support a DI or SI.

Ive only got it out once so far with 3 total people and 3/4 tank of gas with some gear and we topped out at 54mph, and the 80lb trolling motor was plenty even in wind we were in.

The boat rides really nice and the front deck is huge, measured next to a 20' nitro and the TXW was wider and more room up front.

So Far, Happy with the purchase

Nice longball! Def upgrading the trolling motor is something you won't ever regret!! On my pt190 the original 12v 40lb thrust wasn't worth a crap! 75lb 24v now she flies! What outboard do you have? 135?

I've been looking at the 195 TXW a lot lately. Nice boat that I could be very happy with  with that 150. I can't afford one right now but when I can my choice would likely come down to either the 195 TXW or the Ranger RT188. There are things I like and dislike on each.
One of the things I really dislike on the PT is BPS will not credit you for the weak 45 lb TM if you upgrade. You are basically stuck buying two of them to get a good TM. Same with any other upgrades. Is that what everyone is seeing or is it just my local BPS?

Also, why does Minnkota put those transducers on their TM's. I have one on my Powerdrive that is useless for my electronics. It just seems like extra expense for something that might be used. I'm new to electronics so am I missing something? (Probably better asked in the electronics sub forum)

Congrats on the new boat longball!

BTW longball, keep us updated on reviews.
I'm really interested to know about the complaints of the wet storage compartments to see how common and how bad that is on these boats.

The compartments on my 2013 pt175 leak really bad. I traced the problem to the drain hoses. They appear to be blocked by the spray on foam in the bottom of the boat. The water runs down them and them and backs up around the lip of the compartment and eventually leaks into the compartment.

I'm anew guy and registered for this forum to talk about this boat. I purchased mine in March and it takes on water but I can't fully identify from where. Have any who own this model experienced this?

Oldfart9999

Bass-Crazy, welcome to the board, I think that if you look around you'll more to help you out. Don't forget the New Members contest. If you're taking on water on flat water I'd take it back and let them find out where and fix it.

If you find the lockers taking on water take the boat back to the dealer, they should take care of the problem, it should be covered because of poor workmenship. Cojab, I purposely stayed away from built in 'ducer. I think they are still having problems with them and it's easy enough to mount a 'ducer.

Hey guys! New to the site here. I just recently purchased a PT195TXW and love it so far. I have noticed the carpet in the front lockers being damp also. I am wanting to upgrade the Tm and for the guy who have done so have y'all swapped the boat to a 24v stsyem or left 12v. If so how did y'all do it. The dealer said that the boat comes with big enough wires to just buy adapters to conect batteries together but im not sure of it. Thanks for any advice in advance

First thing to do is to verify that the wiring is sufficient for the new trolling motor.  You will need 2 batteries for the trolling motor and 1 battery for the cranking and a accessory needs.  Trolling motor batteries should be at least group 27 but if you have room larger batteries are recommended.  You should also consider a 3 bank on board battery charger as you move forward.  Other considerations will be the possible need to upgrade the circuit breaker or fuse system.  There are many here who have done these steps and can help you out as you get ready.  It would be a bit helpful to know what is your existing trolling motor and what motor are you considering as a replacement.  You may also have to make a slight wiring change to the plug but that too is no biggie.  If as the dealer indicates the boat is mostly ready for this type of change then you will have a leg up on the process but I would not blindly take there word or it.

I saw that the other day Lou.
It throws a few options on the boat that most would put on anyway at a decent price. The one add on I noticed that I did not see as available on the non Tourney Edition is hydraulic steering. Nice upgrade!
I still wish you could choose electronics, TM, and a color though.

I was looking at these this weekend.

wondering if any of those who bought theirs the past few years could share some updates, please :)

Oldfart9999

The 195 and 190 can be bought with an Optimax 150 Pro XS or Optimax 115 PRO XS for less money that the 4 strokes, they require less maintenance.

I just bought a 2017 Bass Tracker Pro Team 195 TXW Tournament Edition two (2) days ago. It has a Minn Kota 70 lb. trust 24 volt trolling motor. The boat is 18'7" long and is 98" wide. I haven't even had it on the water yet. It has 3 batteries and a onboard 3 bank charger.

I would guess that it's so that they can offer a 24 volt trolling motor to the next level up model Tournament Edition.
