Got home around 7pm with my new Jon Boat! She is ready to go in the water. Nothing needs to be done to her.
A few things I want to do to her:

-Give her a nice camo paint job
-Add a few support beams on the front deck. Easy enough, just unscrew 4 screws to get to it.
-Add a bigger livewell later on if I decide to join a bass club.

Thats it! I'm sure I will think of more things eventually.

Congrats Rick!! Like I told you earlier, this is a game changer for your fishing.

Looks like a great little boat! Very very similar to mine. I have a 15' Alumacraft "superhawk" with a 40hp Johnson.

Shes kind of a light beige lol. I dont mind the color but I would want to match the console with the boat lol.

Thanks West! I ran into a nice Polar Kraft MV1675 in a lot on my way there by Okeechobee. Great price but that boat weighs way to much for me to tow. I was sad. lol

Rick wouldn't it be less work to paint the console to match the boat versus painting a boat to match the console?

I was going to just paint all of it to match each other in a different color lol. Also getting rid of some scratched paint, throughout to make it new. :) but yes if I wanted to go the cheaper route that would be my next option. Now matching the color may be easier said than done.

Just a head's up I am back in town. The R&R was much needed.

West6550

Classic video Rick lol we used to do that at karaoke a few years back lol

I'd go with a gray or lighter color personally. My boat is black and shows any imperfection. Plus lighter color stays cooler in the sun. Just a thought.  I painted my first Jon boat dark green and it was hot to the touch in the sun.

Hey Rick, you might want to think about recessing the TM peddle.  It makes it much easier to keep your ballance when you are standing and pitching.  It is easy enough to do with a wooden box.

We had a great relaxing weekend. Both of us needed it for sure. Didn't catch any fish but don't really care. It was more about just getting away than anything else.

We plan to go fish some tomorrow anyway.

I'll have to look online on how to do that.  To be honest i may take that seat out of there and put it on the bottom deck to have the bench as a foot rest and give me more space up front. Ill have to see. I would like to stand where the seat is or right behind it. And maybe get a longer pole for it with more thickness to hold my weight better.
