May is the month where you Central Fl guys shine. I will not be surprised if more big fish are caught before this month is over.

Well we'll see what we can do to make your statement come true.

I don't know if I'll get out later today or not. Then this weekend the Wife and I have a Get-Away Trip planned for a Resort in St Augustine that our daughter gave us for Thursday Night thru Sunday Morning. It is mostly a Golfing Place, but neither of us do that anymore. So I asked about the ponds I could see on it on Google Maps and was told YES we can fish the pond that surrounds the Resort but it is Catch and Release Only. Guy told me there is some big ones in it, so we'll see what we can do.

Oh Boy New Water to fish! And I just need one 17 1/4 Inch to break the Century Club Mark.

Bob oh boy, have a great time Fred.  I've been to St. Augustine a couple of times, back in the dark ages, and thought it was fantastic each time.  They were day trips, but very enjoyable.

World of Golf Village? That's two exits from where I used to live. There are some SWEET ponds right at the exit. You are close to St Johns river too. Take 9 mile road  and hang a right on 16a, then a left on 16 a right at the light (follow signs to green cove) and you will run into trout creek, sweet little launch and ramp. I am over there on the otherside now, 8 mi north of green cove. If you have any questions about the area let me know be glad to help.

I wanted to give you guys the heads up. I will be out this weekend. The Mrs and I are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary by taking a little road trip. So please, document your catches and when I get back I will document everything you guys caught. I should be back in time to post the leader board Sunday evening.

Guys I gotta admit it, I think I might of contracted Lou-itous. I think I have become addicted to Frog Fishing.

Honestly I got to thank Lou for helping me with all the questions I pestered him with when I first began trying to learn how to fish with a Frog. The progress I have made in the last two months amazes me compared to where I was over the last two years before talking with Lou.

I think I caught more today (4) than I had caught with a Frog over the last 2 years before. My hook-up ratio is climbing and I'm getting more strikes and more vicious strikes at that.

Now as to what I am doing, well I'm sworn to secrecy so if you want to learn you'll have to ask the Master Frogger himself.

Thanks so much Lou for all your help.

Not that you need any more pointers - you've proven that you absolutely do not ~b~ SPRO makes a Bronze Eye Shad in a couple different colors. It's a bait that can be fished like a frog with a couple of minor but significant differences. One is color - baitfish colors. The other has to do with the tassels protruding from the back of the bait. Frogs - side by side (legs). Bronze Eye Shad - over under (shad tail). Really does make a huge difference in working the bait too. When working a Spook and similar hard top water baits - we call it walking the dog. When I'm working this bait in a similar fashion I call it "Sashaying". The sweep of the tassels/tail add more swagger than the rigid hard baits offer. I catch fish on this bait in open water as well - both spotted bass and largemouth. Not just a grass/lily pad bait. All my bigger fish on Eufaula last week were coming on the Bronze Eye. Caught some of my biggest Lake Seminole fish on it last year as well. The hook up ratio has been outstanding as well - most like the picture below will completely inhale the bait. All that is protruding from the bass' mouth is line. So are you ready to SASHAY?

Buddy used the red ear color up here on this part of the river with some success, he said the over under tail is bit easier to walk then the side by side frog.

West I'm not sure exactly. I would love to stick around the area for a bit but my friend needs to get back down to West Palm Beach around 3:30 to 4.

Warning RANT:  ~rant ~rant ~rant ~rant ~rant ~rant
So my buddy and I tried to install the hitch on my car. Wow was that a freaking mistake. 30-60 minutes my ass! 5 hours and we accomplished nothing. The freaking thing just doesn't fit right. The instructions are 6 steps total...and clearly states ford mustang 2011-present. It looks like it should fit but it just doesnt. The holes seem to be off by a few mm. But we didnt have the proper tools to expand the holes. Tried to get the damn bolt through one hole and got it in after battling for 3 hours. Got the second bolt almost in. Stuck 1/3 of the way in. Now we can't take the bolt out or put the bolt fully in. It is literally stuck there.

After dropping the mufflers and putting the hitch partially up and at 11:30 pm we gave up on it. Then tried to put the mufflers back on cause that hitch wasnt going anywere. Well since the hitch isnt alligned properly one muffler wouldnt go back on.
Drove back home with 1 muffler in the trunk.

Either the Curt hitch just didnt fit right, the instructions are wrong, or my friend and I are idiots. lol. I think anyone who looks at the instructions would probably try to do it themselves because it just looks so simple. This is why I hate putting stuff together myself. Honestly was ready to pay for the installation but my friend insisted on doing it, hes extremely handy and has a ton of tools. Builds drones, go carts, fixes motors, dirt bikes, all kinds of electronics. I freaking fix computers for a living, taking them apart, putting them back together. Granted I am not handy unless it comes to computers. But he is. Yet we were defeated by a crap product.

Sorry for your hitch problems Rick, but that is a common thread with many aftermarket products.

Sorry to hear that Rick. I searched on-line for mine and I think it is a Draw Tight brand. Bolted right on with no problems. Took about 15 mins.
