~c~ Congrats Lou -- she sure sounds like a keeper !!!

We just celibrated our 56th year .
My wife DID buy me the Nitro bassboat I fish out of on average 3 times a week .
I don't remember if it's 15 or 25 year you are entiteled to a boat-- either way , just keep plugging away and you'll she'll buy you one soon. [ or not ] !!!!

56 years - holy cow. You must have been 10 years old when you said I do Bruce. So I'm coming up on 20 years in 2016 - you think I have a chance at a boat then - is that what you're telling me?  ~gf

Bought an Eglin AFB fishing permit today - just so I had bass closer to the house to show off for you guys. Surprisingly a lot of fishable water on the Eglin Reservation. Tomorrow may be the day. :-*

That permit sounds pretty unique. Can anyone just get that permit?

Cool. Good luck out there. It is always fun exploring new water, especially if it produces right away. Looking forward to pics and reports.

Yes - the Eglin Reservation is open to the public. There are areas of course that no one is allowed to enter due to munitions testing and other military related activities, but that still leaves quite a few ponds accessible. Everyone must watch a safety related video when getting the permit and required to check open and closed areas via their web site before heading out. Unfortunately I may not get much more water time this month. I was told yesterday I have class all next week then I work Saturday and Sunday. Beach trip tonight and tomorrow with the wife.  I only work 4 days in June though :-D

Capt. BassinLou

Fingers crossed I am heading out to the Glades tomorrow. I have to put 4 nice ones on the board tomorrow. Don't want Fred thinking he has walked away from this yet.  ;) My son is coming along too. He has expressed a liking in bass fishing lately. Music to his old man's ears.  lo

Good luck guys. Heading to Vero in a few. Plans Sunday fell through so I'm going fishing that AM :-D I'm like Lou and need 4.

Heading out soon. Summertime patterns are expected today. Very hot and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Let's see how it goes. Fortunately my son's rain gear was delivered yesterday. As far as cover, fortunately there are bridges so we will hunker down underneath one of them if need be. Good luck to everyone going out today. If it's any good, I will give some on the water reports, if not, I will report later on tonight.  ~gf
