Peterson Park is in south Lakeland.  Small boat ramp and only a few spaces for trailers.  It consists of Lake John and a few old phosphate pits.

Taylor and I went today from 11 to 2 and boated 2 good keepers and a few other bites.

Everything came on a Bitters vibe in toho gold color.

The biggest one went 18"

Nice fish. The backdrop looks great. Lots of nooks and cranny's around those trees it looks like.

Nice fish.

I've only fished Lake Parker, and Saddle Creek Park in Lakeland, it looks like a nice place.  Didn't even know there was a park and access to Lake John

Nice 18 inch phosphate pit bass. Have never fished the pits - need to one day. What kind of water clarity do you have?
