Hi all,
I was having my 200 removed for repower on my Nitro and my mechanic noticed that I may have a compromised transom. He had his fiberglass guy come out and look at it and he told me that it was completely compromised and that it was going to cost over 2100,00 . My question is ,,, does this seem to be a fare estimate or should I just buy another hull and repower to it,. any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks Bill

inreeltime,

First welcome to Ultimate Bass.  Great to have you and sorry to hear about your issues with the Nitro.  I moved your post over here to high performance boats to get a little more views from the guys that know about your hull issue.

It doesn't take long to get to the $2100 mark in fiberglass work  :surrender:

Just doesn't sound that bad to me, it's all according to how the rest of the boat is, in my opinion, whether or not I would have the repair done.  If the rest of the boat is solid, I'd go for it, if you have more issues, large ones that is, I wouldn't.

Either way, best of luck and again, welcome to UB!

Also look into Seacast. I know of a few boats this has been done too and the owners are very happy.
