OH man, that sounds like fun, where you going out of?  A charter, party boat, or friend's boat?  And you are going to post a report in the salty section, right?

I will post a report just for you. ;) My other brother in law has a 31ft Wellcraft where we go out of Homestead Bayfront park.

This was about a year and half ago. 42" wahoo.

Lou thats going to cut into your bass fishing. But that sounds like a fun fishing trip.
I personally am not big on the offshore stuff just cause of sea sickness. Its hit or miss with me.

I wear the prescription patch. Prevents all my seasickness. Also... just found out a little while ago, we have a family venue conflict, so i will not be able to go to the fishing trip.

Prescription patch? Never knew there was one. The stuff they sell at the store sucks. Puts me to sleep almost instantly. That sucks lou that you cant go on the trip.

Here they are Rick, you ask your Dr for the script. This has been a lifesaver for me. I very prone to seasickness. I wear one of these, and I have 0 problems.

Pferox

Wow, I never got seasick.  Used to get queasy when running slow and diesel exhaust would come over the back of the boat.  But after we opened up and the fumes cleared out all was well.

Dunno about now though since I get sick and intestinal problems at the drop of anything after the surgery.

It must be miserable to be sick like that.

Yeah. I know it does suck, but last year the same thing happened and I chose to go fishing and I caught a lot of  ^-^ for missing the family function. I can't in good conscious miss it 2 yrs in a row.

Getting seasick is not fun!! You actually do turn green.  lo. Not really... but you do look very ill. Since  childhood  I was prone to  seasickness. During my short stint as a pilot I never got airsick. Fortunately, neither my wife or son get seasick. My daughter, I don't know yet.

When I worked for the County over there the guys took a charter or two every year.  One time we took a trip for Kings and man was it rough.  We caught a lot of fish trolling, but just about everybody was hanging over the side of the boat by the time we decided it was time to come in.

Mark and I were the two "Serious Anglers" out of the bunch and we were fine.  I felt sorry for the charter guy though, that deck was a mess.   ~fl

It's been weird for me when I've gone offshore. First time no problem and it was rough, folks puking everywhere on the Party Boat.

Next time somewhat upset but was fine once I puked the first time.

Last time out was an outing I'd just as soon never experience again. This time was on a Private Boat. Fishing was good, but I couldn't stop puking. Got to where I was spitting up blood then pass out for awhile. Wake up, puke blood, pass out.

That scene repeated it's self for hours. I was so glad to get back into land.

However I never have any problem when I fish for bass?????? Even when I'm getting waked like you do on the River.

After the roofers left I called Sarge and he was already out. So I met him at the ramp. I managed only one fish, the 18" on that new swim bait from Academy.

Choked on it!

I pointed out a spot to Sarge that I normally catch a fish on. He landed this one on that cast lol 6.9lbs

Him releasing the fish.

He caught it on a watermelon speed worm.. fished slow on a heavy bank slope.  Water temp was 80°+, we had a slight breeze, but it was hot! We fished the Winter Haven chain of lakes BTW

Fred I really wish that big girl was mine lol we didn't measure it but I'm sure it was 22" or bigger. Weight was 6.9.. it was a solid big head fish. Bet it was 8lbs a few weeks ago. I easily held it's mouth with 2 hands and handed it to him and he grabbed it in between my hands.. (he has a bad hand so it takes him a second to grab a big one sometimes)

Capt. BassinLou

Damn WEST its too bad you didn't catch that one....  lo...... (j/k)

Pferox

Gee, from the way it looks, Y'all need to get Sarge into this.

Nice fish.

West those are nice fish. Sounds like you should have pointed in the other direction while you cast into your spot. Lol. Jk.
As for the seasickness, ive gotten sick on a cruise. Its hit or miss. Ive been on boats and felt fine and other times its been absolute hell. My issue isnt when the boat is moving. Its when you are anchored down and its rocking. I also get car sick depending on who is driving. I have to sit in the front otherwise i have to be looking forward through any opening i can. If i even look down while in the back seat my stomach gets all churned up. It royally sucks! On a good note ive never gotten sick on a jon. Skiff. Or flats boat.

That's a really good one your buddy boated West.

Deadeye

Had one die on me today, have no idea why.

Caught on a Frog and hooked in the top of the mouth. It was the 17 inch that culled the 16.5 for me. No Blood no nothing. Even bit me on the finger while I was holding it for the measure photo.

Released it and it started to swim away then just floated up. Watched it awhile and thought it was going to take off but didn't.

Caught it with the net and worked it back and forth for a bit to try and revive it. Then it splashed the heck out of me and I thought it was ready to go. Released it again and sure enough it came floating back up again.

Watched it awhile and then figured it was gone so re-netted it and put it in the Livewell. Never came back.

Gave it to a guy at the ramp and he was a happy as all get out.

I really like fish but have never cared for Bass, just like to catch them. Glad it went to good use.

Lipripper

Thanks for the report Deadeye and hat to see one die like that but so is nature and like you said it didn't go to waist.
