Nice fish guys.  All I got today was a 15 inch catfish on 8lb test line, and a 19 inch croaker.  But I know there are a lot of very well fed crabs in that area.   ~bb

Fried catfish for dinner?

Hardhead..... retch.  Jan doesn't like the taste of catfish so I don't even bring the Gafftops home.   :'(

Have fun, I haven't caught one of those in ages.  They have them around here periodically, some even able to be caught from the jetties, but I don't frequent those places anymore.  I don't have the patience and somebody would end up being Chark Bate.

Well today sucked. I caught a 7 inch mangrove snapper that wasnt big enough to keep. I hooked a little grunt by the belly and that is all. 5dozen shrimp and nothing to show for it lol.

I forget that saltwater outings are not as long as freshwater ones. Sorry the outing was a bust. I remember when we did outings to the keys, we came back empty handed a lot, but we made some cool memories.

Could have stayed longer when you arent catching fish and you are constantly losing hooks swivels and sinkers it gets tiring.

Wow, sorry to hear.  I never fished the keys so don't know how it is over there.

I fished Sunshine Skyway on the St. Pete side a lot because it was close and I wanted to be pier trash.

Most of the gear I lost there was thanks to too big fish hitting it, although there were days I caught something, but not to bring home.

At least it wasn't a skunk trip.

Did you get any pictures? :)

You are going to put in a report on the saltwater board, aren't you??  ;D

Why not?  I'm having a hard time justifying my job around here.  :help:   ~roflmao

Good luck with the new baits, hope they get you to the 100+ club.

Click on the link in my siggy and post it in there.  It is an all in one spot until it gets active enough to split it up a little.

Oh found it on my own. Yeah its not easy to find...might want to make the child board link bigger or something haha.

Anyways, I posted my report.   :-/  Hope it helps.

Might get out to the canal to test out my new stick baits and my new BPS Bionic Plus reel and Berkley 6 foot rod. I'll try some top water with it though the canal hasn't produced anything for me other than a small peacock. Don't think anyone needs to worry about me catching anything of substance for the competition.   ... or do you?

Interestingly enough I just saw bfn18's post. I caught 2 myself both were about 11.5 to 12 inches in length. I caught them on a Watermelon Gold Flake Sticko. Gold Flakes must be the ticket today! lol BTW nice fish bfn.

Tried out the new stick baits also, they look great in the water though I didn't catch any fish with them. Worried that perhaps they sucked, I tried a BPS Sticko in Watermelon Red Flake just like the Ebay ones and got no bites on that either. Weew. It isn't the stick baits, just the color apparently lol.

Might as well report the good and the bad. I skunked out today. Went to a canal that has not been producing for a couple months now, and today was not any better. Lol... I was hell bent on frogging today. Sadly missed 4. Which is rare, but missed them nonetheless. Looks like i will be looking for new fishing areas soon.

Well I worked all day and the wife for our anniversary cleaned out, painted, and installed wall hangers for the garage. It is awesome! The mother in law helped along with another friend.

Now I need to cut the tounge of my trailer so its a swing away and it will sit in the garage more often.

Nice fish everyone. Rick with more senkos... geeze lol

Some before and afters lol the wife did a crazy good job!

Built and painted that table and put a top on it. Installed all the hanging racks and board.

Love the red door too. Oh walls were painted too!

Bassindude, that's not a tilapia, but a big mayan cichlid. I didn't know they could be found that far north.
