Capt. BassinLou

Here is another 15" that I caught at the park this morning.

Deadeye

Ok well I did get 6 today to allow me to make a limit.

All were caught on a Black with Blue Tail Worm with 1/8 Bullet Weight. I will post a full report in it's own thread.

My computer will only allow me to post 2 at a time due to size so here goes:

#1

12.5 Inches

#2

14 Inches

Deadeye

#4

16.5 Inches

[attachment outdated - deleted by admin]

Deadeye

#5

20.75 Inches

That gives me 12.5 + 14 + 15 + 16.5 + 20.75 = 78.75

Decent start to the month.

Good work Fred. I documented your catch.

Reservoir Runner

I was out today on the St. John's, I put in at Ed Stone Park off SR44. I put in at about 8:30, the water temp at the ramp was 76 degree's, I ran south down to Blue Springs, making a stop in Lake Beresford. I fished every inch of cover and pads from Blue Springs all the way back to the ramp and caught nothing. I fished jerkbaits, plastic gator tail worms in a red shad with a 1/4 weight, crankbaits  that ran from 4 ft to 12 ft in depth. I pulled about 1:30 because it looked like a storm was headed up our way. The water temp ranged between 76-78 degrees, the water was tannic but you had about 2 ft of visbility. I wish I ould have posted that I loaded the boat but it just ain't so. I am now at a loss to figure out what these fish are doing, or what stage they are in- prespawn, spawn, post spawn. I will be back out again on Friday, maybe I will get lucky and hit the motherlode. I thought fishing the Potomac river was tough, the St. John's makes it look like a walk in the park!

Fished Lake Marion today, tried several things but shallow inside lines of grass were the ticket. All on speed worms. Also caught a 6-8 lb mud fish (bowfin) that thing was huuuggeee!

12"
14.5"
14.5"
13.75"
Had:  17.25
Now: 12, 13.75, 14.5, 14.5, 17.25 = 72"

You live in Florida, have you ever considered joining the Florida Bragging Rights Club?

We use this thread for posting our catches and BS on the other one. It is to late to join us this month (have to say your "in" by the 6th) but you can always start next month. We would welcome you.

Reservoir Runner

Deadeye I would have to catch some fish first!

Hey Lou, I think I am at 42.75

You had me down at 42.5

Don't mean to be a stickler for .25 but against all these guys (woah almost forgot, and girl) I may very well need it lol.

14.25+15+13.5

Thanks.

Thank you for bring it to my attention. When i get later on I will make the correction.

Deadeye

Out today and got two to cull my 12.5 & 14. I'll post a complete report as well.

16 Inches to cull the 12.5

[attachment outdated - deleted by admin]

Deadeye

16.75 to cull the 14.

That gives me: 15 + 16 + 16.5 + 16.75 + 20.75 = 85

Capt. BassinLou

OK....

Bassindude, congrats on your 1st official catch with us. I documented your catch.

Deadeye, nice culls. I documented your catch. Enjoy your time in 1st place for little while. I will not be hitting the glades for another week and half. ;)

Rick, i made the correction on your 14.25" fish. I input the incorrect number, I apologize. Fortunately you documented your numbers.

Deadeye

To early in the month to even begin to think about 1st place lasting.

Good Luck on your trip to the Glades.
