Forget about rods, tackle, line, reels, trolling motor, batteries, or even your bilge pump! The #1 thing that you need to have in your boat is a roll of toilet paper! If you start to get that "thunder down under" feeling, none of that tackle in the boat is going to save you. Therefore, a roll of toilet paper in the boat is the Tip to end all Tips. You're welcome!  ~roflmao

I hope that this post is not a reflection of a recent fishing trip you made where said item was found to be in a state of non-existance, when you needed it most.  :shocking:

And if that is the case, I hope you weren't fishing in flip flops, and had an extra pair of clean socks stashed in the truck somewhere....  ;D

Here's a little helpful hint. Keep the roll of toilet paper inside a large plastic coffee can to keep it dry!  :-*

Good idea... I use a ziplock, but it tends to get mashed flat. Though, flat TP is better than wet TP!

Yes TP for sure!!!!! And doesn't matter if its flat it still works!! :-) Ironically enough last year I won a tourney mainly due to catching fish in the last hour after having to use the bathroom and going back to the ramp!!!!! :-)

Now there's a pattern that nobody would figure out! The old "Gotta Go Right Now!" pattern.

My little story from a few years back had something to do with TP and yes, I had it in the boat!

OK, I'll tell my best, but don't NOBODY  ~roflmao

My team partner and I drove a little over 3 hours one morning to North Mississippi for a Team Trails tournament.  Blast off was at 5:30, so yes, we left real early, like 1:00 AM.  Almost there, I start getting that early morning urge..you know what I mean... cramp here, poot there.  We drove by one store that was open about 7 miles from the launch, and I thought, "ah, I can make it, no big deal."  (  ~shhh I said NO Laughing)  I did make it!  Of course, when you get there, people milling around, forgot about the bathroom, pains went away, starting getting things ready, poles out, boat ready, all those regular things you do when you first get there.  Then BAM, it HIT me!!  Like a TON of bricks!  ~sweat

I do the quick short-step walk over to the bathrooms, go around the corner, WHAT??  LOCKED, OUT OF ORDER, OMG! What the hell do I do now?  I'm a country boy. Just find me a tree.  Hey, there's a good one---big ole oak, away from everybody.  Gonna give it a fertilizer donation!  ;D

Again, I do the quick short-step walk over to the big ole oak tree.    Had me some paper; (was so proud of myself) undone everthing, leaned back, relaxed, and ahhhhhhhh.

About that time is when I felt something crawlin': a lot of somethings crawling.  I take my lighter out and look. I have just CHIT in the middle of an ANT bed  :surrender: (OK, you can start laughing now)

It ain't like a man can stop right there in the middle of his business.  Ya gotta finish; take care of the paper work and all that, don't ya?  I do!  Anyway, I get done fast.  I don't mean kinda fast. I mean I broke a wiping record. Got up, started to move away, and yep, I forgot to pull up my pants.  Got tripped and fell!  :( At least I fell forward ;D

Got back up, got myself together, killed and removed all known biting critters from my you know where parts. (had to move a couple of things around to get to a few critters)  Put on everything and went back to the launch. It was real quiet and I thought I had gotten away with it, being nobody was laughing at me  ~c~  ~c~

Then my partner, friend, just busted out and 20 more guys followed him  ??? He pointed at the tree.  In my hurry, I hadn't gone  BEHIND the tree.  You could see everything, counting the paper due to that very nice street lamp just 20' away!  :o  >:(  ^-^  ~xyz  ~rant
