Lou,

Maybe we could start a separate thread dealing with suggestions from all the participates of the FBR Contest and see what rules the majority like or dislike.

Of course there is no way everyone would agree on everything, but things that MOST do could be made the Rules for everyone. We compete against each other and should be able to work something out that the majority likes. Main thing is to keep everyone involved and keep it fun.

After all it is a New Year and New round starts in April. Any Rules Kept or Changed should be decided before the new contest begins.
Good point, Fred i will start a new thread

Okay forgot this part for MCS.

I decided to go out and see how Turkey Lake Park was for shore fishing. Its great!

I caught 5 most around 14" and missed 3 piggys. Using a speed worm with 1/4 oz weighy ripping it through lilly pads.

The 17"r went for a live target frog going full speed over the lillies.

The other big fish misses were slow rolling the ultravibe at the bases of the lillies and in the grasses. Big mis was probably around 8lbs.

Down that low they kept managing to wrap me up around everything.

A good flippinh/Punching stick may be my next purchase.

Capt. BassinLou

Ok guys the suggestion thread has been  created and open for input. What say you?  lo

Took I see that you use Frogs with the "stringy" legs and those with pads. Which do you find the bass seem to like better?

I would assume that the pad ones bubble the surface more?
Paddle legs! I have tested a large number of both and find that fish really like the paddles because of the added action.  The action really triggers some MASSIVE STRIKES!

Nice. Do I still have big fish?

You are tied with Deadeye. So i am left with a dilemma. Are 5pts distributed to both of you or what? We have never been faced with this situation.

If looking for suggestions pm me.  I have a few built by adrenalinerods and couldn't be happier, one they are building for me right now will have the anodized ALPS reel seat for added strength.

Hey this isn't over yet! Someone could post a 24 or 25!

Since it involves me perhaps I shouldn't answer, but if I can I would say that in the case of a tie for 1st or any position, or Big Fish: Equal points be given.

Don't see how else to do it.

I will LIVE on the water the next two days just to make sure I get a top 3 spot!

I love turkey lake! Back when I started bass fishing I went there and rounded up 8 or 9 in about 3 hours. Of course I was using the evil Senko. The gary yamamoto, I think I went through 2 bags out there cause they are so flimsy. Anyways you could have sworn I knew what I was doing with the 5 inch senko texas rigged with a big ol 3/8ths lead worm weight. I was fishing the pads while my friend fished with his crank bait.
His total 0.

Anyways, on to today. I spent the day at the trail and caught 4 bass in the 13-15 range. I taught my dad how to use a worm and a crank and he caught a nice 15 inch bass. I then went over to another spot by the trail and saw at least 10 big ol female bass in the 20+ range spawning. As I said to Lou "Dancing" with the smaller bass. Nothing I did could get them to bite, or even give a damn about my baits. They were so intent on mating that everything in my arsenal failed.

The only people catching these fish were the ones using shiners.

Anyways here is a picture of on of the many big gators up against the bank. This one was actually small compared to some of the 8 - 10 footers I was to afraid to get close enough for a picture lol.
And 2 of my fish. Got tired of taking pics, they werent going to help me win this thing anyways.

In case there is a tie for Big Fish......

Go to FBR suggestions  thread.

SFL BassHunter

I say give each 5 points. Doesnt seem fair to penalize because of a tie. Just my two cents.

What brand of Paddle Tails do you find work best? I have one made by Scum Frog but it is so light that it is hard to throw.

In case there is a tie for Big Fish......

So far we have,  award the participants 5 pts each  or split into 2.5 pts each. Input please? Majority decision wins.

I think the 2.5 is fair being that the catch isnt technically the biggest fish, as to say neither angler beat all competitors in big fish.

SFL BassHunter

Can we five 2.5 points to everyone except the 2 guys that have caused this dilemma? ;)

Big fish tie rule is one of rules currently being discussed in the Bragging Rights Suggestions thread.

Capt. BassinLou

Went to the park for a bit. Caught 3, culled 1. A healthy 17.5 ".

This is the clarity i have to deal with at this location.
