Didn't say I was done with the contest, I said I was done with any further discussion on the Rod Measurement Topic. Didn't seem to matter anyway.

Well I knew with the rains coming in that taking the boat out today wasn't a good option. Besides I had some things to do this morning.

I figured what the heck throw a couple of rods in the truck and if I had time I'd stop by a pond or two.

Glad I did. Caught two and missed one. One will cull my 15.

So add this 23 to my Limit for the month so far.

Sorry for the 1st blurry Pic I was using my phone in the sun and couldn't really see if it came out alright or not. Glad I took the 2nd tail pic.

Oh and I got her on a Black/Blue Swimjig and she weighed 4.11 lbs.

That gives me:
15.5 + 17.5 + 18.5 + 22 + 23 = 96.5

One more good one I might break 100!

Double post from my phone, not sure why so I eliminated it.

Very nice Fred!! Like I have said in the past, this time of year favors the Central Fl guys. You tied with PZ for big fish so far. And obviously you have taken 1st place.

I am falling rather quickly in the standings. Gonna have to make today and tomorrow count at the trail.

Wondering what spinning reel everyone is running?  It'll be for use in saltwater (light inshore) and heavyweight bass, mudfish and gar.  Looking at Shimano Stradic 300fj and the Abu Garcia Revo SX30

I've had 4 Stradics and used 3 of them in the salt. I am slowly replacing them due to the same issue. After a while the anti reverse failed. I think that they are getting way over priced for my taste. I am thinking about the Phlueger Supreme. My brother in law swears by them. It also has a ton of great reviews.  $100 most places. I am waiting to catch a sale and I will probably pull the trigger.

Had a blast fishing today with sarge. He caught 5 or better and I managed about 10. I had two that went 16.5" which only culls me a 1/2" increase.

I doubt I will get out again before April.

16.5" watermelon u-vibe

Had: 16, 18, 19, 20, 21 = 94"
Now: 16.5, 18, 19, 20, 21 = 94.5"

West does that fish count? I having troubling seeing the numbers, you shoulda posted a close up of your 3rd ruler with a rod for verification.... :P

Most anti reverse bearings are not salt friendly, it is getting harder to find, but the ratcheting anti reverse is a better solution in the salt.  Sorry should have posted this in the other thread.

I was a boat captain/guide today for the PVA tourney on Toho.  I did not get to fish much except when my vet was resting.  He had a hard time in the wind and with his hands messed up, plus he was out of the military before I was born, he still boated 5, 2 of which were keepers.

I fished about 40 min today and caught a 15 to replace my 14.25 and then this 19 to replace the 15.  Caught her on a spray grass mega vibe.

15.5+16.5+16.5+19+19.25=86.75

Tomorrow I get to fish all day, so it's on...
