MCS, I can understand where you are coming from. You and I and a few others came from the other site. I feel the dynamic here is different. If a "report" is needed then someone, in this case yourself will ask a pertinent question and then a discussion might begin. The majority of this group has been together for a year. We know each others waters that we fish. At this stage of the game its a simple case of asking what lure or outfit was used and the group is content. I know you like very detailed reports but this group is not like the FBN group that you are really active with, and/or the BR group of the past.

Yeah I agree but here is usually how it goes.....example LMG and YOU on your tourney...Lou caught a flipping fish...I ask what yall flipping....he says why not....Ok....thanks....but

But I like the details....A black blue why not on a 3/4 to pads....or to kissimme grass....had to yo yo to get a bit....etc....Thats all...its cool....I go to FBN to talk that sort of stuff. Here we just "woops" about reels.....The thing that Kills me about FBN is it is only a handful of regulars and a shit ton of lurkers....activity gets slow.....And BBC is the same as BR bunch of "woops"s mostly and the site is ran the same by Godless liberal type folks

true, I see the point of pics only but its a pain in the ass to go back and forth easier report with the fish...Anyway just a thought. I could care less. I just come here to BS. The comp thing is getting old...been doing it for like 2 yrs now....and honestly the last thing I care to do when I do get a chance to fish these days is measure and photo fish....My time is limited where I used to go 3-4 times a week a couple hours a time. Its now 1-2 times 30 to 45 minutes at a time. 

The comp thing may be getting old for you. I can understand why. Your time is beyond limited. Your plate is pretty full right now, especially with the arrival of the new little guy. I am almost positive that your outlook of this contest would be different if the your circumstances were different.

I know for me, I look forward to this. This is my outlet. I do not get to fish anywhere near as much as I would like, but being here and competing friendly or not, forces me to make each of my outings count. This gives my outings purpose. The competition. Maybe if I was still coaching my perspective would be different, but since I resigned from coaching, this gives me the competitive outlet that I need. I will do my best to keep this thing alive, that's why I asked for feedback for Year 2.

We just came off the water after an exhausting outing, the last thing LMG wanted to do was provide a detailed explanation on how he flipped into specific clumps of vegetation to pull the 2 fish he caught. Please do not take my explanation the wrong way. But to provide specific detailed information depicting how we came across our catches can be time consuming. It's much easier for me to say, I caught 2 bass pitching a nu-tech jig with a trailer into cover. Done. Simple.

"woops" man, I don't get much time to bait a hook these days let alone use fishing as an outlet. Mainly why I down graded some of my gear(which so far hasnt been much of a down grade  thanks again LMG ) My frustration is more that I lost my playing time so to speak and my outlet mainly is being a key board warrior these days so I rather read and talk the game and listen to people make up rules or ponder pretend classics...Just saying......My only outlets these days are the book and the bottle....which the first is deffinatley a good thing...and the second isn't bad so long as I maintain my slipper slope which has been tested on ocasion as lou lmg and martin know Gay as this sounds I feel better getting this off my chest. Thanks for reaching out in an understanding manner, I no longer want to punch you but shake your hand again buddy.

And I understand timing maybe off....especially when we text....but if your posting on the forum then one might figure you are free....The example used was not meant to be specific to you or LMG that is the general answer anyone gives. I just pulled a recent example as to show you when you ask you get a dull general answer. After I ask once I am not going to keep beating to get specifics I will move on brother, find folks that will talk fishing

What happened to the nice reports and discussions we had, over at BR we would talk for days....ah nevermind...I will bite my tongue again, I am trying to refrain.

Hit a spot on the Island this morning, looks promising, got 1 of 2 dinks that hit. Saw a couple abandon beds, gonna check back end of week with those warmouths

MCS I was only teasing ya man.  I'll admit I have slowly gotten away from more detailed reports.  But I normally at least say what they were on and give further when asked or I have the time to make a long post.

As the new guy to the thread i can see how after 2 years the competition aspect might get a bit old. I am personally a very competative person so it may not get old for me as quickly. Is it a pain to measure the fish, sometimes but in the end i take a picture of most of my decent catches anyways.

As for reports I guess because i am the new guy and don't really know as much as you all about fishing spots, tackle, what colors to use in different situations ext. I wouldnt mind seeing more of that. But its not a deal breaker in any way and what I get the most out of this group that I didn't find in BR is the closeness of the group. The BS and joking is fun. I could go to any forum to find fishing info but what we have here is more than just info, it feels more like a club.

I am still on BR and go to it but other than a quick glance to see if any topics interest me im not as active as before. FBN is a good forum too but like stated previously it gets stale quick there isnt enough back and forth or content.

I'll do my part to include more detail and reports when i post my fish. It doesnt hurt.

I got you, I am only playing back at ya brother. I didn't know if you missed it while you and LMG were penning the 17th thru 32nd ammendments to the BR constitution...Don't tell me your like Lou and cannot read in between the lines

Exactly Rick....and if you read enough reports you can start looking for similar patterns in similar conditions at your ponds....Which I still find interesting. Or maybe someone will notice on your report and give insight etc. I used to even post when I got skunked and what lures for that reason.

Oh i would never get snipped i dont even need to read that. If my wife said hey get snipped i would say hey next time we have a kid have the doc tie your tubes. Or just make her take the pill. The hell with that crap no one is touching my junk!
