Is this for real? I saw a picture of a new rod called the Fury Series. It's been awhile since I called the shop to talk too the crew.

Ha ha ! I'm probably gonna pick one up before I leave. Just can't decide which ones I can risk Schlichs wrath over yet lol. Lee was texting me while I was driving so she had my phone talking to him and he said "Be careful ,have fun , spend $$"

Never been a fan of Dobyns. My only experience has been with the DX line, which I think are horribly over priced and over rated.

Perhaps @ this price point you'll get some more 'value'.

Off the start, there will be two spinning models, the 702sf and the 703sf. Casting includes a crank rod-705cb and 765flip along with other popular models. The 663C, 703C, 704C, 733C, 734C, 735C will also be in the initial lineup. Expect actions to be very similar to the Savvy line.

Im sure guys have seen plenty of pictures on this rod already, but I can post some if needed.

Blank is a flat looked, sanded. With cork in the foregrip and compressed foam in the rear. Very JDM type look.

I will toot my own horn on this one...I did have some input in the appearance of the rod. It is about 90% of what I was "suggesting" when talking to Gary the many times. Gary is a great rod builder/designer. The rods have been in the works for over a year. The feel and actions will be good on these. Gary doesnt want to put out a rod that doesnt feel...and fish right. Im excited about this one.

Paul Mueller commented that they have a nicer sanded finish than the Savvy and very very nice feel for a $109 rod. These will be very tough to beat in that $100 price point.
Good thing I haven't ordered my Guide rods for 2015 yet! They will be on my deck in May....

Want to fish them or any other Dobyns, come up and fish the U.P. with me

I'm looking forward to these rods as well. I think they will be great for the price. I talked to the man this morning. They are still looking at May. PM or call me with your phone number if you want to get your name on a list to call when they come in. As soon as I get the OK I'll let you know. I will post as soon as they are available.
