I agree West, Owner makes some good hooks, they are my top choice but I don't always want to spend the $$$ so VMC or Academy are 2 and 3.  ;D

I saw a youtube vid from LakeFork Guy or something, he was mentioning that if you bend the hook outward a little bit on the wide offsets it would help. I started researching cause I was having hookset issues. I thought it was the gammi hooks, turns out it was my technique. But now I like Owner hooks they are a bit thicker, sturdier and I think have an excellent sharpness. I have also used the VMC and like those as well.

This past Saturday though I switched over to offset worm hooks. Not the wide kind. They work much better in my opinion on worms and stick baits that aren't thick. I put the hook in at an angle on the top, the worm comes out perfectly straight and there is no way the hook won't come out of the worm on a hookset.

Sorry though I can't offer up any advice on flipping hooks. Haven't used those specifically.

Me too, I think I may have to go back to Central Florida for something. Who knows, March is a crazy month for the Wife and I.

Man... you have gone to Central Fl alot these last few months. I will be in that vicinity, as well as a matter a fact. Small world... lol.  I have some "business" to take care of up there. Lol!!

Oh... ok. Yeah, i know you have family up there. I am actually going a tad North from there. An opportunity opened up for me to try out a new market, and i am going to scout it and check it out. Pretty exciting stuff.

I'm going out tomorrow for sure. I need a kicker fish.  Had a friend hit a local mine pit.. aka honey hole.. he barely managed three dinks lol

My bddy caught two today. I had zero bites.. ugh

Hmmmmm...sounds fishy! I'm sure Saturday night both of you will have posted pics of monster bass that you caught on Lake Kissimmee. Going to Central Florida and not bass fishing is like going to NY and not eating a slice of pizza.  lol

I fished Lake Pierce today for the first time I caught two fish but nothing too cull.

Out this morning before the wind came up to strong to the point I couldn't control the boat and said "enough".

Caught three, two decent ones and one dink. I didn't photo the dink.
15 inches and 17.25 inches. Should now give me: 14 + 15 + 15.5 + 17.25 = 61.75

Going to try and get #5 tomorrow.

Nice chunks.  I'm going out again Friday to attempt to cull.  Hard fishing lately.  Hours for one or two bites.

Good work Fred, I knew you couldn't stay off the water too long... lol. I never count you out. i always have to keep tabs on you.  lo  And... I documented your catch.

Got these two on a watermelon senko.  I haven't been able to fish much and when I have had the time the weather has sucked.

With these two on board, I now have 38" for the month.
