At the south lock.  Fished the south ends canals and cuts in the lily pads. Inknew with my little boat the big lake wouldn't be easy.

Not much but it was a hard day of fishing. Wind was steady 15mph with 20-30mph gust.  If I sat in the canal and let the wind push me I moved a steady 1.8-2.3 mph the entire time.

Both fish caught way back in cuts with clear water.  Caught a good size chain pickrel as well.

Was hoping you might have went North, maybe near the Camp Mack area.

During the our classic, the south end is where we sought refuge as well. The wind on the last day was crazy. The little canal in the South west corner was a life saver. It helped me put some numbers on the board. Good times.

Yes I have fished the north a few times. After I got the big boat so could make those runs.   But I not once got a bite.  I always do well in the south half. Brahma island then the east side and of course the lilly pad canals in the south.

I can tell you from last weekend. The North ramp was blocked. The South ramp on the other side of the alley was perfectly clear. The hyacinth's are not going to be your problem. The wind is. Also you don't have to travel far. The fish are closer than you think.

Lol... Yeah... cold wind is no joke. But i don't think that's going to be problem this wknd.

I work all weekend but I'm going to try and get out Monday and Tuesday.

Monday and Tuesday should be good after a few days of warm weather, front comes Tuesday then cold again.
