I need a new s[inning rod but that sale doesn't do me any good way down here in S. Fla.  Plus I think the nearest Gander is like 60 miles from here.

Ive never seen a single notable sale on anything at gander ever. Sure you can probly get a sweet deal on a gander rod

I am with you, Academy gets my regular business(until the BPS is built) but we have our club meetings in the Gander.

Ahh I see. My closest BPS is  hour and fourty five minutes away. But they have really became competitive if not the best on price.

I got one of their Extreme Guide Series combos last year at a 50% off sale. Rod seems really good, reel not sure on yet. Definitely not like my Lews.

Ha! You know why deadeye? I believe the gander reels are mostly made by quantum lol

I don't put to much money into the rods and such, just rigged my new 7ft heavy flipping Bionic Blade with micro guides and tournament special reel. Trying it out tomorrow in my club tourney out of Bass World by Lake George.

I hate how all these stores have their brand loyalties and won't carry everything. Cabelas is my favorite and we don't even have one due to their selection online. Used to love academy now I can get everything cheaper if you know where to look
