Got a 2008 evinrude etec 225 I caught a log well I didnt but prop did (was under water and in 28 ft of water)  was wondering what a good prop size is for it to have wanna see if I can get one to push more speed, yup im a speed junkie. Also its got the stuff inside (goes on the teeth and is locked in prop) it put in there permanently so needing to get one that has the whole 9 yards. And where is a good place to get this stuff. Thanks for any help

You have a pressed in hub. You can try any prop you want such as a Tempest, Trophy, Fury as long as you get a hub kit. It would help to identify the prop you are currently running. It may be a Raker if it is a 3 blade prop. Remove the prop nut and look at the end of the prop barrel. The diameter and pitch should be stamped on the brass end. If you look at the outside of the prop barrel there may also be a name marked on the side. Knowing the RPM's you are spinning at Wide Open Throttle would help too as well as current top speed. You won't find a 15 MPH gain by changing props but maybe a few.

I run a scooped 25 raker on my evinrude 225, mounted on a TR21 and get 70 out of it.  Took some work getting the jack plate adjusted, but works very good now.  Good hole shot along with not much chime walk.
