My outing went pretty well. Took out my BIL and headed out to the Holeylands. We arrived more or less around 815. Fished out there til 11:30. The bite was ok but very small. I did manage the 19" on a spinnerbait,  but the rest were small. At around 1130 we loaded up and jumped over to US 27 where I quickly caught the 21" on a frog. We fished til about 5:15. The frog bite was pretty good. Over all we caught 24 fish. Half were on frogs and the other half was softplastics and spinnerbait.

Lou  it was great seeing you and your BIL out there on the water.  It certainly was an interesting day.  Comgrats on the hawgs.  I cant believe the Oscars were hitting Froggy with their little mouths, and you were hooking up.   You learn something new on every trip, even if you have doing this for 40 years, the learning process never ends.  Hope to see you out there again buddy.   ~sun

Thanks George!! Its so nice seeing you on here. Yes, catching big oscar on frogs is not rare on 27. I understand what you mean in regards to their mouths. How can they manage such a big bait into a small mouth is baffling.

Awesome Job Lou! Talk about making your trip count.

One of these days I'm going to have to come south and fish with you guys in the Glades and Canals, it looks like you guys always have a great time.

Oh and you can teach me how to catch a Bass on a frog, something I seem to suck at. LOL

Glades are deffinately an awesome place to fish. Love the canal with rocke ledges and cover everywhere. Way different from the muck bottom weed ponds I am used to.
Lou got us into some nice fish and he will deffinately show you how to get the frog bit too.
