Z-7 with a 115 pro XS

Has anyone ran or own a Nitro z7 with the merc xs115 on it? I want a 18 foot boat with a 115 for our local lake that has a hp restriction. Thanks

If you plan on keeping it forever, go for it... however, It would be VERY hard to re-sale a boat that size with only a 115 on it.... Unless you found someone like you who only fishes somewhere w/ restrictions.

If it were me, and I were going to spend that much money, I go on and get a 150 on it. Then just find you a cheap puddle jumper to use on  that restricted lake.

I am not a seasoned bass fishermen, but in my researching used boats for myself Polaris425 is right on the money. IMHO the resale market for anything less than 150HP on a used Bass Boat is pretty slim no matter what condition it is in.

Totally agree that the minimum motor for an 18 ft glass boat should be 150 hp.  115 is ok for a tin boat

Take it from a guy that has bought and sold many used boats through the years, , , you will have a very hard time reselling that boat.  Under power is the worst when it comes to resale value.

Boats are going for about 15% over book right now and will go higher in the spring, but an under powered boat will sell for 20 to 30% lower than book, just a fact.
