I wish we could have in South Africa what you guys have in the US. A abundance of lakes to facilitate the growing popularity in bass fishing as a sport . I startet being serious about bass fishing about 10 years ago on the age of 12 and have a 1000 miles+ on my kickboat. Naw and again geting close to a heart attack because I find myself fishing in wild parts of Africa even bear grils would think twice about. At least now I've got a 17ft bout with a 200hp yamaha motor on to play with and do small competition with and so forth .It is a big dream of mine to fish competitively in the US. one day but iets 11rand to the dollar so I can't just go to the US. do it

think there are lots of folks here who'd love to fish 'there'...   

just remember:  you can go to any/all of the storied waters we have here...and get skunked (zero fish) or have a day where you're happy to see a 'lousy 2-pounder'... 

fishing is fishing...
