I just wanted to do a Shout Out for our campground hosts. Grape Hammock is an excellent camp in my opinion and the staff made sure that we all were located close to each other. They also provided their big Smoker Grill for us to do our cookout on Saturday night.

They wave the launch fee at their private ramp when you rent a cabin or trailer. Each rental comes with a Reserved Dock and there are also Covered Docks available for an extra fee if you reserve them. Each dock comes with a power outlet so you can charge your boat batteries each night.

Basically you can launch your boat when you get there and load when you leave. There is plenty of parking on your site for your vehicle and trailer.

The Lake it's self is very nice and you can fish the way you like, as there is a wide range of options. Stem Pads, Floating Pads, Hydrilla, Kissimmee Grass, Pepper Grass, Docks, Ledges off of the Main Channels, and lots of areas to explore.

Great Place, Nice Hosts, and Awesome Lake.

2nd 24, longways pic. Man were these both fun fights! Topwater strikes in the grass, and after that it was a wrestle since they wanted to bury in. Alicia was quick on the net, she did a great job her first time netting good ones for me. Its always the other way around lol! After that second one I was in so much shock I didn't even know what to do. I was like this day is too good, I need to save some of these fish for tomorrow. I literally started thinking I couldn't do any better since that was the best bag I ever caught in one day. Really weird. We went and explored similar grass areas past Brahma after that but never had another bite. I was sure we would slay them the next day since we had it all "figured out" haha. Just goes to show how different each day could be, and how lucky I was on day 1! All figured out my @$$, maybe for a few hour stretch but that was it! When I woke up the next morning to all that wind my heart sank, I knew it was game ova

Wish I could of gone. With the right amount of gear. I love fishing cold windy days when everyone thinks they shut down.

It is too bad you couldn't make it. We would have all loved for you to show us how to get it done under Sunday's conditions.... ;)

Sooner or later. I will

If this job picks me up. I'll be strait. Will easily be able to get everything I want.

I would of worked a pittboss black blue carolina rigged with a big lead. That slow fall near the bottom would of been killer!

EvolutionTungsten

Where, through the grass? Lol that lake doesn't fish like anywhere I've ever fished, cept Big O. Still trying to figure it all out with these grass lakes. I didn't have a single fish in pads, all my fish came from Kissimmee grass fields. Not sure where you would hurl that rig hehe

West6550

My thoughts as well Chris... where.  Cause I worked quite a few points with ledges with a black and blue beaver and a trick worm.. with zero.

All my fish were in grass areas right outside lilies.  Most on baits high in the water column.

Heck I even fished a 30' hole down the lock with water moving over it.
