That was Lous wake up text at 5:48 am  lo I was throwing it on a 1/4 bullet and 4/0 EWG 30 braid. I had one short strike and a miss(skin hooked to well) from 5 am to 6:15

I try not to be this early but I have a ton of work and I couldn't not fish a new bait  ;D

Congratulations on the fish everyone.

I will post up soon with more pictures over in the right area.  I will have a addtions thread as well.  I want to get a foot controlled TM and recessed tray, stuff like that. New decals. Going to do a new color scheme to match the motor more.

Thanks. Nope I am not "in" this month. It was big enough I did wanna get a length and girth but I left the tape in the car.

I dunno, I know 5 pounds wouldn't be exagerating....My buddy who has been fishing a long time said 6-7. It was thick, heavy for sure. Not like the long skinny ones you catch during the summer. But I will got with what my buddy said and say 6-8  lo ;)

Lol. Yeah, I know about catching those skinny fish! I'm yet to break into the double digit club. Have landed a couple that would've made it had I caught them at a different time of the year. Your fish looks like a chunk for sure! Good job, bud.

Next time measure lenght and girth nand that will tell you weight.  Get a cheap cloth measuring tape and keep it in the shore bag.  That's what I do.  Keep it in my shore backpack.

Oh and nice fish!!!
