Red River 9/25

Went out of RRS this morning around 9:00 am till 2:00 pm.  I wanted to try the rock jetties but the visibility was only about 6".  I  moved on to Whitehouse and had a small Bass wrap me up on a stump and lost him.  Water was stained there as well.  Went to Mc Dade and talked to a few people there and they hadn't located the fish either. The water was stained in the deeper parts there as well, kind of like a big lake during turn over.  Finished the day in Port Lake without a bite.  Water temp was 80 in the main river and 83 in the oxbow's. Where is all this water coming from?  Do the oxbow lakes go through turnover like bigger lakes?
