Classic at Kissimmee-The List

Gonna keep an updated list of who is going, what days they will be attending, and what they are bringing to the dinner Saturday (if they are attending)

1)LMG-4&5-Home made Key Lime pie and The Trophy!
2)Lou-4&5-Burgers and Buns
3)Deadeye&Wife-4&5-Venison and Potato Suffle
4)Chris&Alecia-4&5-Steak and Jalapeno Poppers
5)West and Stacey-4&5-Booze, banana pudding, queso dip.
6)Pz3-5th

Deadeye & Wife  3 (at some point in the day, Going to fish some and spend the evening) 4 & 5.

I'll bring some Venison Backstrap Steaks, and a Side Dish (probably a sweet potato souffle) for Saturday evening.

Chris and Alicia, probably heading up morning of the 3rd do some fishing. Staying till the 5th at least, if the fishing is hot may stay Monday too 

Bringing: Two Tri Tips (Thats steak to you crackers, and I mean that in the Florida way haha) will BBQ them up Santa Maria style. usually feed 3-4 per Tri Tip and some ranch beans. Also will smoke up some Bacon wrapped Jalapeno poppers for apps. Unless I eat em all first, no promises on those. They dont last long when they come out of the smoker haha

I also have a pop up table that I will bring for food, and a grate/wood to cook with if we have a fire pit. Bag of charcoal if not.

Does KVD pre fish for the Classic? Well ok not this year he wont haha! 

And not really pre fish, Ive never been there so would just be nice to get out on the water and do some scouting, get to know the area, etc. I have the day off, so will be a leisurely drive up whenever we finish getting the stuff packed and then drop the boat in that afternoon to drive around a bit.

Pretty standard, I only expect half of the people to show up that usually say they are down for something. Unfortunate but life gets in the way sometimes. Either way we will be there for sure!

So true, I wish I could have made it. But it is hard to plan things out far in advance life changes so to often.  I hope it all comes together in the end.

Based on what I have seen so far, I think we are good on meats. The rest of the gang will chime in soon.

This question is for the Central FL crew. I heard that Central FL has also received it's fair of rain these past few weeks. How does this effect the lakes in your areas, like Kissimmee for example. I only fish the Glades and that is different eco system which is adversly effected by too much rain.

Lou, when the water rises in the lakes the fish head to the flats. They are moving to where the water was not deep enough. Note, the fish won't go right away, but if the water stays elevated for the next couple of weeks, we will be set up pretty good for when we get there.

Nice!! Only one problem at least for me. Where are the flats on this lake? I am looking forward to this trip for several reasons. 1. I get to meet our Central Fl crew. 2nd this remind's me of BassMaster's Day on the Lake series. A Pro Angler has 8 hrs to figure out a lake. Fortunately for me I have 16hrs....
