Fished the final of the Ram Slam Elemination tournament. Cross lake was drawn and I knew it would be a slugfest. Only 4 teams qualified for the tournament and these were all good sticks, now on a lake that is producing quality fish. It was going to come down to who caught the kicker fish.

Weights were right on par with everyone having a 4 pound average except the winners who caught a 7 3/4.

15+
12.48
12.19
12.18

We had the 12.19 and came in third. The bite has been really good out there. Plastics, top water, cranks and jigs all catching fish.

The tournament will be on channel 45 this Sunday at 3 or 3:30. Be sure to check it out, they spent an hour in the boat with each of us, should make for a good show. I caught one dink, but no sooner than they left we caught a 5 pounder  ~b~ The big bass of the tournament was caught on tape ~c~

I caught one almost 6 out there yesterday while chasing school fish. That lake has been on fire.

The last few weeks have been really good. But you could say it's been great all year, some impressive stringers coming to scales all summer long.

All these big fish you're catching you should jump out there and get in these tournaments :-* There is one this coming weekend :-*

No livewell on my boat. I might get beat up if I roll into weigh in with a cooler full of 5 lbers.

Mike Cork

As long as they are alive you can weigh them. If not, well I reckon is lake Crisco... Ain't no one gonna beat you up
