Saturday
Morning-Early A.M. storms with clouds all morning/ Afternoon- partly cloudy with heavy wind gusts
Water temp: 81-84
Water clarity: Fairly clear on the north and stained south
Woke up early and sat at the ramp waiting for a heavy thunderstorm to pass so we could launch. About 6-6:30 we finally lined them up and blasted off to our favorite spots. Fishing Saturday was a little tough but I continued to catch bass all morning on a 6xd crank bait which pulled in 3 keepers. The afternoon was even tougher but the bigger bite came on 10 inch plastics in a watermelon or motor oil color but the bites were far and few between with several short fish.

Sunday
Clear to start off the day with fog but eventually ended with complete overcast skies.
Water temp and water clarity unchanged.
Sunday we fished a "Major league" style tournament catching, weighing, and releasing while keeping a record of each fish caught. Everything we had thrown the day before was out the window so I decided to throw a baby brush hog on a Texas rig. First cast with the brush hog brought in a 3.5 lb bass out of 25 foot of water.

It was tough for us but we managed to claw our way to 4th place both days.

Who fished with you? Sorry I couldn't make it, work had other plans for me. I was really looking forward  to this tournament.

Amen to that! We were grinding all day trying to get a bite.

Eric Brooks...I'm ready for you to be back on the boat! It's hard to control the boat, tie on new stuff, and everything else that comes along as well as tend to his needs. I love the guy like a brother but man I am wore the heck out LOL

steve76

I bet you are wore out. Shouldn't be any issues for me for LOZ. We are busy at work but after I let them know how I felt about cancelling my vacation they either won't do it again or fire me.

I also did the math with this last weekends weigh in and I have gotten with in 6 lbs of catching Greg. Hoping LOZ is on fire (at least for us) so we can make up some ground.

steve76

Hopefully we tear them up and you can pass up Greg.
