2015 Poormans Schedule

Please take a second to read the voting instructions before sending in your lake selections.  Send your "Ultimate Schedules", along with your name (first and last), to and DO NOT POST THEM HERE.  If they are posted, or do not contain your name, they will not be counted.  You do not need to be a member this year to vote, everyone may vote, but current member's votes will carry more "weight" when tabulating the final schedule.  If you are a current member, then each member may vote seperately and not necessarily as a "team" vote.  Here are next year's dates:

Since many of the lakes have fished so well in June this year, I'm going to make the June tournament a day event and add a July 11th Night tournament.  If you wish to change your votes (for the June/July events) just email me at

Voting has concluded and our 2015 schedule looks very silimar to this year's schedule, not surprising since we had a lot of votes for "the same as the 2014 schedule" with some tweeks...here are the results:

For those interested in fishing our trail next year, we will be having an OPEN tournament (on the Red River) this September (9/06/14) and free BBQ at the Teague Boat Ramp Pavilion following weigh-in.  We will be going over next year's schedule and any possible rule changes that anyone wants to bring up.  This is an informal meeting and everyone is welcome!

We had 136 members this year, with 40 qualifying for our Classic.  There were no real rule changes at this year's meeting, but the members present did vote to raise the annual membership fee from $25 to $30 per person to attempt to get a larger Classic pot going...and as always, 100% of that money will stay in the Classic fund and paid out to Classic qualifiers.  This year's Classic is going to be a "mystery lake" format, as voted on last year, with all the lakes fished during the year put into a hat and drawn each day.  We have never done this and will take a vote after day 2 of the Classic, to see if the membership want to continue this format for 2015 or try something else.  Our website will be updated to reflect the 2015 season on October 20th, 2014 and may be seen at LouisianaPoormans.com
