Here in ohio of course. Just wondering how far back that winter and cold weather we still have today may have set us back. Thanks alot for any suggestions.

I've never found a site that lists water temperatures for fresh water lakes. A corps of engineers site would probably be your best bet.

I haven't found a single source YET. You should try Googling the lake name followed by "water temperature". I can generally find a source that way. NOAA.gov might be a good source for some larger lakes. Lake based civic orgs and marinas sometimes monitor and report water temps on the internet too. -Jim

That would be my guess as well.... I know that the Corps tracks temp and water levels on some rivers/creeks.... Especially navigable water ways... But you'd probably have to look at that districts specific website. And it would still have to be a corps run lake or water way, for the information to be there... i.e. if it's just a random section of river, or a state lake or public lake, then I doubt the information is listed anywhere online.

HOWEVER, as I'm thinking more about it, if it's a river system that has locks, then sometimes you can find an info page for the lock, especially if it's hydroelectric and run by the power company...

I can get on Alabama Power website here, and see info for sections of river located on the lock's page... i.e. it tells if and when they are generating, and what the water level is, and if not mistaken, temp might be listed in there too.

Depends a lot on the body of water. South Holston down where Big Wrench resides has a great stat page provided by TN DNR that includes water temp. Claytor over in VA has a good page that provided by "Friends of Claytor" org that lists water temperature and level.

The USGS monitors flow, level, temps and all those things but they only provide flow rates and water level on their page.

I have had my best luck just googling a specific lake actually, I was hoping for a site that had a lot of areas compiled in one spot and easily glance over it. Google gets the job done though
