Dont have good pics of throttle. Not in the
states yet. Have a guy doing upgrades on
it. Had it out only once so far. Long story but
right leg got ripped up by a dog so need him
to take it out go back to throttle. Hes asking
if want to add a new one the one in it came
with it. Its a 2000 stratos 21ss extreme. The
ob is a 2003 merc efi. Anyone put a new one
in? If so what brand..etc..That little pic of earth
left hand bottom has the boat but not much detail.

Can get better pics but be 2-3 weeks before get home.
Any advice badly need. Not the right forum please
move. Its hard to access internet here sometimes.
I dont know just how much can trust this guy so any
and all advice I need real bad. Thanks!!!!

Assuming you want to go back to the normal hand throttle?

Sounds like you dont have the original, so you would just purchase a normal style hand throttle cable kit for that OB. If you have a guy doing the work...he should be able to locate one real easy by calling a shop. All he has to do is tell them he is going from a hot foot to normal style throttle, and what boat its on. If he is capable of the work, thats all it takes. If he isnt, then the boat needs to go to a shop and have them do it.

Could you not get him to just move it over a little, and drive w/ you're other leg?

Usually there isnt enough cable to put it where he would need it...and if he has an issue with his right leg, I doubt he could use it to brace with when using the left for the pedal. Gotta have that bracing to keep you from falling out of seat...or wrecking the boat.

Thought about that to but
Mike is right. Did ask the guy
working on it about moving it
over but would need something
built custom to even be comfortable
and safe. He says he could do it
but the cost would be just to much.
I guess is best leave it as is until
get back home.
Thanks Much Guys!!!!
