Took family  from florida out yesterday and man it was hot. So was the bass fishing caught 16 bass lost 3. had a great time with the family and they loved the Kankakee. All Bass were  released!

Grand Kankakee Marsh, Sunday

short report - got down to the Marsh at 7:15 a.m. and walked to my starting point by 7:30...20 minutes and one small bass around 1.5 pounds. Started to rain, and the fish turned off, but I continued to try and figure it out...10:am I catch 2 more small bass 12-13 inches...back starts to hurt and the rain continues...I walk out.

Today the ticket was a tube bait 4" Strike King tube...green worked very tight to the shoreline in slop...couldn't get a rise or follow from any other bait.

kickinbass   glad ya'll had a great time and caught some fish too and glad they liked the Kankakee. 
Fish you still getting rain over there  it keeps looking like it here but dosn't rain and we sure could use some. Sorry your back is hurting you and that you didn't catch a lot of fish today but you did catch some

weekdays are usually better for me, because on the weekend there's a lot of "chair" fishermen parked on some of the areas near where I like to fish...but I suppose that's OK...I stood in the rain for 3 hours

That's the way it is around here too. It's better to take a day off during the week to go because it isn't as crowded as the weekends.

I usually try to get somewhere on the Kankakee / tributaries at least 3 or 4 times during the week  don't tell my wife

Fish  me won't tell anyone  but eye think Lura might know anyways

sometimes she do and sometimes she don't...I always have fishing gear in my vehicle

Me too Fish you just never know when you might come across a water hole and be able to make a few cast.
