Our next event will be the 2-Day on Caddo Lake, March 15/16, out of Shady Acres Ramp. This will be a double entry fee tournament ($120) and will count as 2 for Classic qualification. Prize money will be awarded using each team's 2 day combined weight, with Big Bass being paid out for each day. The 7 Pound Pot will cost $10/boat for 2 days and awarded to the team with the biggest fish over 7 pound for the 2-Day tournament. We are still looking for some volunteers to help out, since I will not be able to make this one...we need a team to: 1. Check livewells each day. If you are interested in helping out, please let me know as soon as possible.

Ok, we have volunteers to check livewells, run registration and weigh-in...thanks to all of those that volunteered to help out. Registration will be from 5:30am - 6:30am SHARP (meaning that they will wrap everything up at 6:30am and head out on the water...anyone arriving late will not be able to fish this event) with a "first cast" at 6:45am. Please be sure and have your photo ID's and fishing license with you (and partner) when you come to registration, they will be checked. Ron Hathorn/Dennis Boyette will be taking care of regestration and collecting tournament entry fees, please help them out where needed. Also, please try and bring the correct cash to keep things running smooth: $120/team for the tournament, $10/team for 7 Pound Pot, and $20/year for the Total Weight Pot. Thanks

Just to touch base with everyone up front. I will be running the weigh in both days and just wanted to reiterate a few of the rules prior to the event that will be enforced.
Please be certain to check and double check measurements on close fish.

Any fish touching 14" or short of 18" will cause a DQ of that days entire bag.

Fish must be in a weigh bag with enough water for the fish to have water covering them. I will have extra weigh bags for those that need one. No water in the bag will elicit a 1 lb penalty per rules.

As usual, starting at 3, a one pound per minute penalty will occur up until 10 minutes and that will be a complete DQ for the day.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and if there are any specific questions please feel free to reach out.
Thanks
Kevin

I am planning to fish the two and I have a couple questions. With daylight savings time now being in effect first at marked time will be almost dark. I was just curious if the start fish time should be moved up to 7 or so because around 7:30 is new sunrise.

I didn't set the start time. Typically Todd has the times pretty close. He wants everyone registered by 6:30. With an allowed first cast at 6:45. This is the earliest you can begin to fish, but there is certainly no rule that states you have to start then. Use discretion and if you don't feel comfortable navigating the lake with a spotlight, then by all means wait until safelight.

12.17 leading day one. Anyone's game. Slot fish seemed to rule the day. Heard many stories of fish being caught but only a couple of limits brought in. Should he interesting to see how this front affects them. See everyone in the morning
