Some friends and I were talking, and we would really like to have a UB rally somewhere. Would anyone else be interested in this? I would love for it to happen, and it's even close enough that we might be able to get Mr. Cork to come fish with us  :-*

Mother Nature loves driving in Arkansas, so even if it was only for a few hours we'd make it. But if the timing works we could make a weekend out of it ~c~ ~c~

However you all would have to show me how to fish in water deeper than my arm pits  :-\

Or we can just do it when they come up shallow!  :-*  I'm gonna throw out a place to get the conversation started...Shangra La Resort on Lake Ouachita.

How about Norfork Lake then all the Ranger, Bass Cat, Legend guys can go visit where their baby's are born, just a thought. And yes I will admit this is my fav lake wanna keep it honest. Plus you can fish deep shallow or in between. Just a side note depends on what time of year but you could tie into a big striper too. Hand Cove Resort is a great place to stay on the water with docks.
A bad day fishin beats a good day workin!!!! or as my daddy says when all else fails use dynamite!

What dates are you looking at?  I'm moving to the Little Rock area this summer and think this would be an excellent way to meet some UB folks.  I'll talk to Fogy and see if I can coax him up for some fishing too.  I have not fished any water other than Bull Shoals and Table Rock so any chance to get the boat out after 2 years in Korea sounds good to me.

I'm thinking sometime in the fall. This will give everyone who is interested time to plan for it.

I'm open to any and all suggestion as to which lake we want to fish  :-*

So far we have:
Ouachita
Norfolk
Greeson

Fall could be good, maybe September time frame?  I am open to the Spring, but am already committed to some trails so it will be tough for me to plan that quick.  Ouachita has my vote all day!

Fall sounds good to me, this would give me time to pull the boat from storage and get everything checked out and hopefully get a couple days on each of these lakes.

Labor Day is in September, might be something to think about....

Dang this sounds like a Fun idea!! Arkansas is just a few miles north of Bossier! Does anyone know off hand what an Arkansas non-resident military license costs?!

Not sure on military but the last time I got one was $15 for 3 days.

Bigwrench

Looks like you either have to have been a resident when you joined or be stationed there to qualify.
" Active-duty military personnel assigned to duty stations in Arkansas are granted annual or trip resident privileges for hunting and fishing. Active-duty servicemen and women who were Arkansas residents at the time of entering service are granted annual or trip resident privileges for hunting and fishing, regardless of where they are stationed"
Non resident 3 day looks like $17 for anyone so not bad at all.
Stop by the Garage and let me know if you have Maintenance issues that you need assistance with.

BassmanRudy

$40 for a non-resident year is Ok. Cus I have wanted to fish a few places up there anyways so worth it. Up to 5 diff state licenses now!!

Rudy, $40 is a small price to pay to fish in God's country.

BassmanRudy

Its unfortunate you feel that way. Just wait until you see Lake Ouachita (or wherever we choose)

How about South Arkansas at Felsenthal or Millwood.  That way some North Louisiana guys could make the trip.

Sounds good to me. Lake Erling, Millwood, Felsenthal, and Columbia would all be great choices in the fall.
