Hit a couple small ponds this morning. Threw only a nickle 1/2 oz war eagle in mouse dbl willow.
Got a nice fish, survived 2 jumps and lost it a couple feet from shore in some slop. Had to be 3-3.5 which after this cold month was a nice solid fish, felt good to set a hook and tussle with. Dense fog this morning, feel like good things are happening this week.

My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time........lord how I will miss that woman.

Went out to a new spot with a buddy. Looked fishy, had pads and a ton of turtles. Took a while, and a lost spinnerbait, but finally got a little fatty, this suck had been eating well. Texas rigged rattlesnake was the bait of choice. Saw some massive blowups too. Promising spot, cant wait to get back there.

What's up gang. I know I have been MIA, as of late. I have been getting the line wet the last few days. Like you guys know I had to cx my Glades trip, this past SAT. So I went to the local canal on Sat, caught 0. Went out on Sunday, few blocks from my house, caught 5. 3 were decent. Went to the park for a little while this morning and caught 5. 4 were decent. Hopefully, I can report something really nice this Saturday.

Partly cloudy and breezy 68 this morning. But I couldn't make it happen needed to be to work early, rushed the whole times cranking in the baits, my fault  ~xyz

Hi Hunter, the contest you that you keep hearing about is friendly competition that several of us on here participated in. Basically, you will bass fish all month, any bass you catch that you deem brag worthy, you measure its length and take a pic of it. You compare your longest 5 fish with that of others who are participating and the winner win's bragging rights for that month. Fun and simple. The contest can be pretty competitive and addicting. We are on a break for a little while.

Anyone using the big swimbaits like the hudds or the spro bbz's etc?  A shell pit I fish has a lot of double digit bass in it but they've seen everything under the sun.

Thinking of trying these big baits.

Went out today (0730-1100). Partner and I put 10 in the boat.  I had two in the 3-4lb range.  Rest of fish were 1-2lbs with one dink under a pound.

Water temp 66-68°
Overcast with 10-15mph wind gust, steady wind.

All fish were caught on Gambler EZ swimmers.  I tried a buzz frog and pop spro with slow presentation. None on spinderbait as well.  All fish caught in 1-4' of water.  Seen a few beds but no girls on them.  Most bites were as soon as the bait hit the water on the edge of cover near the shore line.  Two or three of the smaller fish were caught after hitting the bait two or three times in an row... they were angry lol

One of my good ones came off a point of vegetation and the other was in a patch of reeds in openish water.  All fish were caught in coves off main lakes and mostly away from the wind current.

Had a great time out for sure.

Congrats west, going to try later today.

Hey Mutt, remember the lure works effectively when placed in water. It will work sporatically if you shake it in your hand. And to answer your question, no I have not used mine yet, I will on Saturday. I will keep you posted.

Easiest thing to do is use photobucket.com or a site like that.  You upload the picture then just copy and paste the

Now quote me and you will see the link. I just did this in seconds on my Photobucket app on my phone.

Thanks West. So you simply just copy and paste or do you have to resize the pic, then copy and paste?

Mutt, when I shake mine it will croak. Then periodically the eyes will turn on and quickly turn off. I assuming the consistent movement of swimming in the water is what will activate and work properly. Have you fished yours yet? I will report tomorrow and let you know.

Oh crap. Just pulled the trigger on a Daiwa Zillion Coastal.

Capt. BassinLou

LMG, LOL.. oh crap!! is right about right, I just saw the price tag on that reel. I have never seen or heard of that reel before. Looks like you are transitioning into another Japanese set of reels.

Just copy and paste. No resizing anything.

Just upload the picture to the photobucket or whatever site you choose.  Then copy the link and paste.  When you look at the picture on photobucket.com you will see a way to see the links.  There are multiple links, copy and paste the IMG one for the forum.
