I will be fishing on the saintjohns where drums and bass frolic together more often. Bass is good but I miss my saltwater varieties.

Wife got me a Daiwa Lexa, some Power Pro, and lures. Parents got me $100 for Bass Pro. Looks like I'm gonna need a rod, lol.

Thomas thanks for that video. Pretty dang cool. I love the little lake you live on BTW. I look at these videos differently now that I have a gopro.. lol. Is that a special hat to mount the camera or an adapter of sorts you place on the hat?

Wife got me the head mount as well.  It comes with a way to clip it on a hat or wear a hat backwards and the headband under.  I just left the hat off.  I would like to mount them in my boat to get the whole shot of me fishing but it is cool.

Well, looks like a trip to the ole Bass Pro tonight is in my future. I have $165 to blow, and believe $100 of that is going to a rod for the Daiwa reel the Wife got me. Like I need another combo, but hey, what the hell right? I know I am going to be doing quite the amount of flipping and pitching next month with Chad Morgenthaler, so I may need to dedicate the Zillion Coastal rig to that, and have another stout rig for frogging. Thinking maybe a Veritas 2.0 for the Lexa. Could be spooled with 50# Power Pro and double as a swim jig rig too. I know I am bringing 4 rigs only with the trip on his boat. Got to figure out what is gonna make a combo for this reel.

I just completed my make shift Gopro hat. Sacraficed an old hat I had never used, looked up the topic on Youtube and voila..... giving time for the adhesive to set and I will post pics of the finished product in a bit. LOL... looks pretty cool.

WEST, thank you for the links, I saw one of them already. I also went ahead and ordered the extended battery pack that this gentleman Scott M, uses. Not bad  $$ on Amazon. With Prime it will be here on Monday.

My wife also got me the clamp with the extended arm attached to it. I can clamp it on the windguard of my boat and get a whole shot of the front of the bow. I was messing with the editing features last night. Just finished mounting a clip on a hat, and see if I can shoot my first vid at the canal a little later.

I was noticing that. There is another vid with a better secured way of mounting, however you need the clip of the headstrap to do it. Let's see what happens. Lol.. it kept me busy for a little while at least. Lol..

No, it doesn't work that way. The camera slides on to clips. Which then attaches to what ever apparatus you choose.

The other way utilizes 4 zip ties that then attaches to the hat.

I took a regular digital camera. Went to goodwill got a hat with a stiff bill.

Home depot next, got some plastic bolts washers.

Looks rediculous but works very well. I never use it though.

I have a VHS camera mounted to a hard hat that I wear. My neck is pretty stiff after about an hour, but hey, that's the price to pay to record yourself.
