bassguy2004 I have fished Clear Lake a time or two and I loved it ;) The only problem I had was I caught more Turtles than I did bass  :'( It is a big joke for Mike every time he gets the chance to jab me with it  ;D but hey I guess we all have a few of those experiences...

Laurie, if I were you I'd stop fishing for turtles.  ;) Bass are more exciting to catch, besides this site isn't ULTIMATE TURTLE!!  ;D Just kidding. This is probably one of the best sites I've been to.  ~c~

Thanks bassguy I am glad you are enjoying it and we ty to keep it growing day by day so look for new articles and things to show up soon in fact some today ;)

Oh and the turtle thing... well that was by accident but let me tell you I had a hard time catchin bass on Clear Lake and the turtles that I did catch well lets just say that they don't just come to the boat willingly ;)

Yes a turtle on a plastic worm, must have been a hungry bugger......

Bassguy2004 what town are you in. We were in Marysville / Yuba City for 7 years.... Loved getting over to Clear Lake but called Oriville home and spent most of our time there.

Mike, I live in Santa Rosa. It used to be a town but it's now 154,000 people. I think it qualifies as a city. We also have a new lake here. New as of 1985, Lake Sonoma. Nice size largemouths and also some quality smallies. It's about 2,700 acres. Max pool I believe is right around 450. I'd call it a highland impoundment. It has standing timber and submerged brush piles. Humps and bumps and lots of points, and deep points too. It's alot like Lake Berryessa in a way.
I fish, therefore I am.

Mike Cork

I know where Santa Rosa is thats pretty cool. I have heard about Lake Sonoma and fished Berryessa a couple times.

Thanks for the greeting Mike. Hello Laurie~!! I'm from Southeast Louisiana, born & raised. Grew up at the mouth of the Mississippi River and now live on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. I see more Louisiana people here than on any fishing sight I go to. Nice to see ya'll. Dianne~

Sure looks like Southern hospitality to me. Thanks for the warm welcome. Just got a call today that a very close friend died suddenly, so I'll be busy the rest of this week. But, I'll be back and I'll try to bring a friend or three with me. As for Red Fish: I can tell you better how to cook them than to catch them~!! They are great. Dianne~

P.S. Thanks for the Spell Checker~!!!!!

Thanks for the prayers. Our friend Mal lives here, so we won't be traveling. His sister is coming in today from Long Island, NY. He was at work at an auction yesterday and went outside for a smoke; didn't come back. They found him dead on the sidewalk outside. (I opened my email yesterday and had another joke from Mal.)

Today is his 64th birthday. He was one of those people that EVERYONE loved. He helped anyone with anything anytime. He will really be missed by the whole community.

My dad always said that the hardest part about getting older was watching all your friends die. I'm beginning to understand that statement.  Dianne~
