Hi there folks, just joined the forum. I'm from London, England - I expect I'm the first Londonner on here! I fish for Pike mainly over here, the River Thames is probably my best venue locally.

I fish for bass a bit when I come over to see my friend Luke Somerlot who lives near Philadelphia. We met up through the internet - he travels over to England quite a bit with his work and he emailed the fishing club I used to be chairman of asking if anyone had any suggestions where he could have a bit of fishing while he was here. Anyway, I suggested we meet up - which we did, and that was about 5 years ago. We see each other fairly regularly, my wife to be and I stayed with Luke and his wife last summer and he's just bought a new truck and bassboat so I told him he wasn't allowed to have all that fun on his own. As a result I'm flying over on May 12th to test drive his new rig! We're going up to Lake Candlewood to fish a 2 day tourney with his bass club (Peace Valley), and I can't wait!
If anyone has any tips for fishing Candlewood inthe middle of May I would greatly appreciate you dropping me a message with a few hints on the style of fishing I might expect, just so I know what to bring.

Tim, we have had a few friends from over your way stop by, but guess they don't fine the site usefull there But we are glad to have you. I think there are a few folks that fish that particular lake, do me a favor on the main page of the forum we have the U.S. broke out by region, go to the state and then the fishing reports for that state, you should find a thread for candlewood and post there letting them know when you are coming. I think you will have a better shot at getting a response that way. If you have trouble navigating that way, drop me a P.M. and I will help you out.
