I also fish the Delta (not as much as I should) and Folsom. Haven't spent any time on Camanche, but I do fish Amador and that is probably the other lake you were trying to remember.
There are so many quality bass fisheries within an hour or so of where I live it's difficult to get to all of them. I have chosen 4 or 5 lakes to learn well and spend a significant portion of my time on those waters.

Yet that's it Amador, we used to go up there and night fish mostly. I never got one but I seen some hawgs that come out of there. We spend most of our time on Oroville, even ran a tournament circuit on it called TEAM BASS, it went over pretty good but the entry fee was small do the pay out couldn't be big but we had a great group of fisherman with us. Also fished Englebright, Camp Far West, Collins, and the Afterbay quite a bit. Went to Shasta a few times as well. I would love it if you posted a few fishing reports for us to reminisce about

I will try to keep you posted on my results at the local lakes. I have also enjoyed great fishing at Oroville and Camp Far West. Those are both great numbers lakes when a guy wants to go knock the fire out of a bunch of spotted bass. Both of those lakes are 2 plus hours away so I don't get to them often. I'm a bit spoiled because I live at Rancho Murieta and we have three impounds (150 to 200 acres) that are great bass fisheries. I can litterally be on the water in less than 15 minutes and of all the great choices I have, I really don't believe any of them are any better than my home lakes. Most people live here for the two championship golf courses...not me, bubba...I moved here for the fishing!

Sorry Mike, its been 10 days since you asked me a question.  I live in Los Alamos, very close to Lompoc.  I too lived in the Marysville area back in 1998-2001.  Lots of good fishing up there.  You ever fish Camp Far West.  You know everyone I met up there had nothing good to say about it, but I really liked that little lake

Stan , my old may was stationed at Vandy land for 14 years and when I joined the shipped me to Iceland but then to Beale. We used to live on base and then Lompoc. I loved Camp Far West you could always go over there and catch a bunch of fish, and it was very close to base.

WOW   I'm one of the few Yankees here ! I expect to see the " Stars and Bars" any time now . I'm in New York , fish New York waters and Ct . I will share info and reports on NY waters , Ct waters and even dabble with the salt scene now and then . Living 3 miles from the Hudson , I'll also let every one know what the Striper run is like come May

Johnkud... I don't think you will be lonley around here, we have awide variety of folks on the forum. I will be watching for some of your reports. I have not had a chance to do any salt water fishing but look forward to doing some this year in the Gulf. Maybe I can catch some pointers.
