Sure are.  All myself and gethtehnet can do is wait for safe ice or wait for no ice to go out and catch some bass like that.  Oh yeah one other option any of you guys out there in the warm states want to take us out lol.

Rob

Rob.....I don't think the weather is warm anywhere.....As far as ice fishing I will pass.....Thanks for the thought.....Went by Watermen's yesterday and boy did it look cold out there. burrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Mike Cork

TritonRob and all our friends here on Ultimate Bass, if you ever get out way. I know several folks here on the forum that would be extremely disappointed if you didn't give us the opertunity to take you out and do some fishing.

With that said "Come on down" the price is good conversation ~c~

Hey ya'll , I'm in North Central Florida. Not far from Orange Lake and Rodman Pool.

Pegleg glad to have you. I have fished on Orange lake before but was way to young to remember much but the old man tells many stories of monster bass. Looking forward to hearing more about the area ~mcc~

Hi pegleg, glad you joined us. Orange lake, isn't that next to lochlossa, excuse my spelling. When I lived down in Jacksonville, I fished them pretty regular. The last I heard, there was a sink hole and everyone was afraid they would dry up. They even tried to fill the sink hole with cars. Now this was about 20 years ago. Is Fla. going to keep Rodman as a dam impoundment, or are they going to return it to a river[ I forgot the name of the river, I know it started with a w]?

I'm from Kentucky! Me and my family moved from Cincinnati area in June. So, we are still trying to learn the area down here... Not many Lake's down this way that I've fished, so I get to start all over again!

I'm a southern boy. Southern Illinois that is. Winter fishing here means power plant lakes. Two within an hour, one about an hour and a half. Now you can still use the ramps when it snows but you better have a 4x4. The cinders are in a barrel at the top of the ramp. Those conditions I believe qualify as addicted to fishin. Sittin on the Ice in some little shack with a heater and portable TV are just plain silly. ;D

CPR, I'm with you buddy, if I have to have a shack and a auger I don't think I need to be there.

We rough it up here when we go ice fishing.  No little shelters and heaters here.  And Mike thanks for the offer to go fishing.  I return the offer to you and other folks here on the site.

Lipripper

That's right Mike you don't need a shack or TV to go ice fishing as long as you dress for it you will be fine ;D

LOL I'm not crazy about the ice fishing either Mike, but going with the right guys its great to kill afew hours and catch some fish.  We get some pretty big Pike through the ice.  As far as the offer to fish your very welcome.  Always looking for an excuse to go fishing instead of work.   ;D.  Offer is open to everyone as well.

Remember those well when I was stationed at Ellsworth...when it was a dual wing.  Weather there was cold tooo...never did any ice fishing, did do lots of trout fishing though.

MotherNature

Minot was also a possibility when we got the new assignment and I have to say I was extreemly relieved when Mississippi came down the pipe rather than Minot or one of the many other places that get feet of snow a year  ~c~

Mike Cork

Hey TomG, glad to have you in our ever growing family. My old man was stationed at Vandy Land for 14 years, now the area well. Been talking to CalinCalif50 about the base lakes and some of the other area waters, sure brings back a lot of great memories. Again, we are glad to have you on line with us. Check out the California fishing reports when you get time.
