Fished TCTC club tourny yesterday on the Red. We had 17 boats show up which was great.  ~c~
-Air temp was 41* at safelight warmed to 67* in afternoon. Between fronts, blue bird skies.
-Water in the back had normal mild stain, but main river was chocolate milk with mud line creeping in.
-Water temp started out at 60.5* and warmed to 66* by 3pm.
-Wind was out of the south-east at 10-20+ (not 5-10 like forecasted)
Stayed in the Port and worked the pads / docks. Caught all our fish on a craw worm pitched to targets prior to 8am, after 8am caught fish swiming craw worm through pads.
Caught 8 fish, best 5 went 8.75 being good enough for 2nd place.
Very nice to see/visit everyone.

Also, wanted to mention that the sylvania must be going over the dam at Caddo because 12 mile bayou is puking massive amounts of the stuff into the Red.

The river is up (wouldn't call it high) and muddy..... did I say it was muddy, I mean it was MUDDY. You can still find some decent color in the back waters. However I caught all my fish in the mud. I only put four in the boat and didn't weigh them as it wasn't enough to win and below that I would have changed points on people, so I sacrificed them to the grease.

The blue bird sky's and south wind are usually pretty good for a punch bite on the River but it wasn't there yesterday. Caught 3 punching an another on a spinnerbait.

We need a FROST, I love hyacinths but there are to many right now. With the water temps in the 60's one good nights frost will kill that stuff and we can get to work catch bass that haven't seen a bait all summer.

Good Job Russ and Congrats to the Pilgreens for the winning stringer.

I fished the port ( didn't have a choice) when your trolling and you look across you don't think it's that far, but it is lol I had 4 bites but only put 2 in the boat, about 12:30 battery's were running down so I called it a day. Congrats to those that placed

I think Mike Cork is playing possum until this weekend.  He will inadvertantly bump a 13lber in the head and bag a 21lb sack.

I could hit one in the head and she still wouldn't see it. The areas I was catching fish are pretty muddy right now. If that 90 percent chance of rain on Wednesday doesn't happen I'll have a chance. If it does I'll have to scratch everything and add to the donation pool.

The river can be amazing in November before it pops, unfortunately this year it popped on November First.....  ~b~ ~b~

It's called sandbagging Bigcity, and Mr. Cork is filling the bags for this ABA.  He' a sneaky joker!  Once again I'll have Brother in the backseat, and look forward to hi m fishing with me.  We really have a good time fishing together.
Glad to hear the salvania is coming down twelve mile bayou, which means Caddo is being cleaned out, and we may be able to fish some places we haven't been able to get to for the December contest.
Wouldn't it be AWESOME if all 52 members showed up Saturday!!!!!

We also stayed in Port all day Sunday.  Caught two early in the back in the pads.  One on a frog, the other on a fluke.  Missed one on a buzz bait....and that's it!  My batteries made it until about 2, so we threw our 2 back and called it a day.  That wind was definately howling!

Yep. Where were you when I needed you! :'(  ~roflmao

Andrew and Chip were kind enough to see us in safely. I really appreciate all the help!! ~c~

We only had 2 keepers before the breakdown. One came on a Bandit 100, spring craw color, in about 3' and the other came off a watermelon/red baby paca craw hopping it through grass in about 5-7' of water.
