The trip to Nationals went well, no issues to speak of, and everyone returned home safely.  Just so you know there are no cypress trees on Clark's Hill.  Zero, zip, zilch, NONE..... Now...  I,m ready to catch some dern fish!!!

Red River South
Saturday November 9th
Registration begins at 4:30 AM
Safety briefing will start at 6:00 AM
First boat will take off at 6:15 AM

Daylight savings time begins Sunday so we will have to get out of bed a little earlier, but will also get an extra hour of fishing time.  Should be a great turnout.  36 boats on Cross, 40 at BL Campti last month.  There are 56 members in the division after 2 tournaments so it might get crowded at the ramp.  SWEET!!!  Lol

Chris,

Congrats on making the Air Force team (again)!!!  You represented us well.  My plans are to join you all next year at Old Hickory next year this time.  I have a tracker hooked to Mike Cork's boat, so get with me on coordinates.  We all need help to compete against him on the "Red Cork River".

Thanks Eric,

All ready looking forward to Old Hickory myeslf!

I just confirmed the reservations for the pavilion at RRS for our tournament and the Marina will most likely be opening for us around 5:00, 5:30 at the latest.  Be sure to thank them for that if you go inside  ~c~

Big NYC, you're the one on a roll. So much so that if I had the fish I'd hook you up. Isn't that some ABC water for you? Old Hickory? For some reason I was thinking you were stationed over there? It could be my old age setting in :surrender:

Spent the day on the river yesterday with my club. To dead boats because of trolling motor and current battles. One popped lower unit, another bent prop shaft... The current and debris took it's toll on our club. If you guys get out to prefish, it's not that it's unsafe, just take your time and be careful. Every morning when the debris is bad there is a pile of it at the mouth of Port Lake so idle out of the cut until your through it.

Just so everyone knows, our club tournament was won with 9 pounds  :'( two eight pound stringers to follow. I didn't even weigh :'( :'(

Mike,
I like my chances on old hickory, if the opportunity presents itself.  The sticks that are in our district are pretty impressive.  Anyone of the current anglers have the ability to win, but its paying yours and a few others boat payment for the last 3 years is one of the things that motivates me.  Maybe we can hook up and work together when we get to nationals next year.

Definitely  ~c~

Kyle, it's been tough out there. One day you catch them and the next nothing or very little. I was hitting some pretty good fish before the mud. But I'm sure everyone was..... Maybe by tournament time they will be used to it and back to eating.

We can lock thru to Lake Ouachita right???

If you can find it :surrender: I guess you could head south to Loggy Bayou, follow it to Bisteneau and jump the dam, go up through Bisteneau into Dor Cheat follow it to Bodcau Basin and up into the Arkansas River systems? I imagine you could get there :-*
