If you are having troubles with uploading your avatar please know that the image must be no larger than 85 x 85 pixels in order for the forum to allow you to upload it. We set this up a long time ago to optimize the site. We used to be able to upload larger images and the site would resize the images for us but on the current server we no longer have that capability. I will look into what it will take to gt that back but for the time being you need to be aware that your avatars need to be within the size limits. 85 x 85 pixels in order to upload them.

Thank you for your patience
Laurie

Is there a way to get that information shown on the error when uploading avatars?  The error message received is generic and does state the pixel size allowed.

Let me check into it. We do have this information in the pinned threads under forum rules and guidelines.

Thanks for looking into it.  I know other sites (not necessarily fishing) I'm a member of do state what size is needed in the message received when the upload is too bid.

I did find that size needed- eventually.  From a new member's point of view, I was unsure what the required size was until I somehow stumbled on the info.  It was quite aggravating.
