Does anyone on here have any info on this setup.  I understand it's a fairly new setup but was curious to find out any info available.  MPH? Jackplate or no jackplate?  Etc...

IMHO you can't go wrong with a Jack Plate.

The Z-7 in years past could be optioned with a 175, then it was dropped to the 150 nice to see it back up to a 175 should be a fast bugger.  ~bb

I was thinking a jackplate for the 175 as well.  However, the BPS around me has been suggesting no jackplates with the 150's for a while now on the Z7.  They've even had a bunch of Z7's come back with the owners wanting the jackplate taken off.  This is why I asked the question.

I'm not really in the market for a boat as i just purchased the Z8 but I would have gone with the Z7 had there been the same specs and options as there are now on the 2014's, i.e.  larger motor, tilt steering, dash that can handle an 8 or 9" unit.  These were not available on the 2013's.

Don't know of anyone running this with a 175 here but there have been posts in the past about the older Z-7's with a 175 and the set up.  I'll see if I can't find them for you to read up on.

I'm not sure why some folks would be having issues with a jp unless it' to big or they have it propped wrong with the plate.  Once you set the motor back the standard prop isn't always the best option any  more.

I had a 2008 Z7 with a 175 Pro XS and a 6" jackplate.  Mine was before the RPS hull so a little changed since then.  I ran a 24p Tempest Plus and also a 24p Trophy Plus in the summer.  Best speed I ever got was 64.9 GPS.  Some will ask about a Fury, it was not recommended for the 175 for some reason, may have changed since then, but not likely.   It was a great boat, hole shot sucked with livewells full and two old fat men on board, but I lived with it for 4 years.  Holler if you have any questions.

Glad to see them bump it back up, several comparable boats out there with 175 ratings on them, so they had to do it!

Does anyone have any info on this set up yet?

Any info on this setup yet.  Its been a while since I posted this.  Saw one rigged up at the last tourney I fished but didn't get a chance to ask the guy any questions.
