I had a tournament on Oneida Lake yesterday, storied for it's smallmouth and walleye. I had a good game plan going from previous TXs there and map study, the weather forecast reinforced it. That was until I arrived, the forecast,I checked it at 2:00 in the morning, said wind from the sse at 3 to 9 mph, try ene at about 20 mph, waiting for blast off in 3 to 4 footers, it was downhill from there. I zeroed, pickerl don't count, I got home with a sore, very stiff back. I had little if any boat control and it was difficult at best to know what my bait was doing, I'm glad it's over.

Old Fishermen never die, their rods just go limp.

Sounds like every outing for me lol. I think I'll be a better angler when I move out of this forsaken tundra.
