Has anyone installed a recessed trolling motor on their tracker? Looking for some tips or maybe where you found out the frame dimensions. I don't want to start a hole and hit aluminum or something....

I have a 2012 190tx   :help:

If you put the front of the tray starting up as far as possible you should be ok.  Will send you a link

Check out You Tube. Search a guy named tackle junkie 81. He has your identical boat and does a step by step guide on installing a recessed tray. I know this is an old post and you're probably done with it, but he has several other videos about stuff he's done to his boat.

I'll be installing one this weekend on my 2013 pt175 and I'll post an update when I'm done. I spray painted it and added red metal flakes and then put several layers of clear coat on it, looks pretty good. I tried to upload pictures but the files were too large

Salado,
Tks for putting the video together for us.  Great job on the install.  You're really going to enjoy that a lot more now.

I installed mine yesterday on my 2013 pt175 and it went okay with the exception I hit a support beam at 12" up from the seat post. I hit dead center of it and ended up having to cut into it because I had already cut the carpet, I'd advise going 14" up from the seat post but it looks good and I can't wait to use it
