Here in south Florida it rains almost every day this time of year.  It is usually very brief. Do you think these rains would effect the bass much or are they so regular that they would be mostly ignored.  Not sure if the BP changes much when it rains.  I can check the history on that to see.  Jim.

Its like 3 oclock down here every day. Don't see much of a difference in the fishing other than the bite seems to be better in the summer months in the afternoon. Mostly where I see the problem is from the rising and falling of the water levels in the canals with the rain and the water management fights.

The worst part is around here they freak when we get rain.. even though the canals are low. The idiots will let water out of the Chain of Lakes. Its more aggravating that when you go through a canal this weekend, next weekend you can't... Like I said idiots.. the canals used to be 4-5' deep when I was a kid. Now your lucky if they are 2-3'.

Regular rains can spark a feeding frenzy if the correct conditions. There are many variables but one example would be bugs. An area with a lot of bugs is a good place to watch after a rain. The rain coves then in the water either from run off or beats them out of vegetation. Bait fish eat the bugs, bass eat the bait fish.

Another would be the canals. If its enough rain to cause dumping of water, follow the current... Current will alway spark feeding in the warmer months, you just got to find where.

Hey, I fished in March.

Hopefully all we get is those afternoon showers and no storms.

We always have luck in Florida after the rains because during and or right after we usually get moving water for a bit, followed by the bugs Like Mike said. You just have to be aware of which spots can get affected and what amount of rain it takes for the said areas to be affected.
