Was fishing a TX yesterday on Port Bay, it was a "can't find the big girls" kind of day. I caught maybe 8 bass, 4 rockies and 2 crappie, but only a couple of legal bass. My partner, I fish team TXs, caught maybe 30 bass. There were about 27 boats, all but 7 of us ran to other areas but because of the wind kicking up most came back early, the bay isn't big enough for that many boats, in fact 7 can be too many, it's planned as TX where most will run.
My partner was using mostly squarebills and drop shot while I went with buzzbaits, jigs, larger worms and tubes, the 5 fish we weighed in were his. The fish weren't consistent, they came from 2 to 8 foot of water and weren't tied to cover. It was a kind of junk fishing day, water was 64 and rose 67, the sun was out but the wind coming off Ontario was cold, the high air temp was 66, we had 9.05 at weigh in. Most had weighed in before we left and there wasn't a limit over 14 lbs, we were in the top half of the field, one team had 4 smallmouth from Ontario and 1 largemouth from Sodus Bay, small weights.
My next TX, in 2 weeks, is at Sodus Bay, I'm hoping the water is warmer.

Doesn't sound like to bad of a day to me. I know the wind can get frustrating. Down here when we have water temperatures like that, the fish roam a lot so it's a matter of covering water. I guess a bass is a bass no matter where he's at.

Thank you for a great report. Baron has been working this board for a while trying to get fellow anglers to help out. I know there are a bunch of fisherman up that way. We just got to get the ball rolling.

I was out on Sodus Bay today to do a little pre fishing for that tournament in 2 weeks.  If today was any indication its going to be a LOOOONG day.  The bass we caught were barely 12 inches.  Everything seemed fished out.  We did get some big rockies though.

Thanks for the reports and look forward to hearing more from you.
