~cf My brother is stationed in Fort Drum so before he deploys I want to take him out on my boat in Lake Ontario. I have 2 months to plan this trip but I have no idea what I really need.... What does everyone suggest to bring? (electronics, gear, tackle, etc...) Also anything to be wary of or things I need to check out! Any help would be greatly appreciated really....

Well be in a 19 foot bass boat. Launching somewhere near the Henderson Bay area I am guessing since that is closest to his location...

I have my normal boat safety equipment, was thinking of adding a flaregun to the mix for up there but not sure.  :help:Please HELP!!! :help: I feel like we will mostly be fishing for smallies and walleye. possibly some lake trout but not sure. I dont really know what else is up there that a bass boat can get near. Thanks in advance everyone!

You might want to check some of the River launches in case of wind, you don't want to be one that lake if it kicks up. Good electronics are a must, and a map with the borders laid out clearly. Unless you have a Canadian license don't fish in Canadian waters. Log in to nybass and post any questions you have, you'll get answers from folks that fish there regularly.
